thank you 🙏 exactly the insight I’m looking for. Running the beach sounds like a great way to spend tomorrow.
I guess I was referring to like Nags Head etc.. trying to stay away from the equivalent of OCMD or Wildwood. from our area. Don’t mind a pass through or stop, but looking to set up HQ...
Rather then start a new thread on the same subject, I’ve update this one as a journal of our upcoming trip.
We found a place we liked on Hatteras. We’ll be down as a family 8/14-8/21
ORV Pass bought to explore the beach. Cant wait to leave.
EDIT: Original Post- “Any suggestions on beach...
MY22 increased it to just over $4K. Couldn’t justify it. When this started, the goal was to get as close to a 2D ManSquatch I could from factory. Now of course you can just order it that way.
Thanks all for the input and especially the personal experience.
I was aware of the tech specs and the subtle difference between the two shocks, and how the Badlands NonSAS actually has the most factory articulation. There’s a great in depth thread on the forums about it. It informed my...
.Thanks 🤙🤙 and for $4k more. In the early days of res/ordering, I could never get a definitive enough answer to justify the $4k. Especially knowing I got the better front diff and 4.7 gears. So I never changed my order from the start.
i‘ve searched and followed the forums, but Im looking for the short answer.
Plenty of good in depth reads on the difference in the shocks,, etc... truly appreciate the in depth information.
I have a 2D 2.3l Manual Badlands NonSAS. Has the 4.7 gears OE.

lt’s another reason I’m hesitant to go to 35s. I’m not ready to get into the supporting modifications needed from changing the angles of the suspension and drivetrain too much.
Man, it just drives so well on the road, and like it or not that’s where we spend most our time, I don’t want to eff...
KMC Roswell 17x8.5 +18ET
OE 285/70r17 KO2 AT
Im on the fence when it comes time to replace these whether I’m going to 35s. I have the 2.3l MT so I‘m already geared 4.7 for it. I could use the extra height on the Bronco’s low hanging fruit. However, I really like the way these KO2s handle and feel.
Hi Mike, thanks for the reply.
the short answer is I don’t intend to leave it on full time.. I never did. Looks and fit were more a deciding factor for me personally. Which it appears to be an outstanding product with care in design and engineering. 💪
The lift I’m using to remove/store my...
I would take one without the zippers on my 2D. Summers killing me. 😂 I know its intended to be able to leave on w/ the hardtop installed, but not all of us will use it that way. I have a hardtop lift and the Bimini will just be in the way of that process.
Maybe make it an option and reduce...
I’ve replaced one. Had to use gorilla tape until I got the replacement.
Now I check the clearance before I open it. Even the new one doesn’t feel as securely snapped in as I would like.
Was there the weekend before last. Sounded pretty bad. 13,500 Acres. Almost under control. I’ll go back we’ll after things settle down. Latest Gaia image using the NASA layer.

Little trek though Belleplain today. Got stuck in a bro-dozer hole at one point, but eventually found a line through it. Rocks are easy compared to NJ Pine mud. 😂
Good eats on the way home after at Buds Market in Quinton.
Beautiful AMB build 🤩
hate to be that guy, but I’m going to anyway 😂
looks like a Badlands Sasquatch, but those are the Badlands Non-Sas wheels.
what size tire did you put on those, and is that the stock +55 offset, or did you add a spacer? stance looks great. wheels/tire combo 💪🏻
Great looking build! Even better price point. Was literally just looking at the smittybilt scout and at $8k, no thanks. That a lot of hotel rooms. 😂
From NJ also (South. Salem, Gloucester, Cumberland, Ocean)

I’ve had my 2D since January, 5k miles. It’s happened 2-3 time randomly, usually shortly after I start it and get on my way in the morning. When I shifted it went away. I’ve been keeping an eye on it but have chalked it up the ECU learning and not letting it come up to temp first.. It seems...
