Good to know, thanks!
Most of my off-roading is in the summer months, but I was thinking about taking up hunting this year, so that is definitely something I should consider.
My thoughts for the most part, I ordered a basequatch v6, with the steel bumper/skid plates, aux switches, and a roof rack. I still came in under $41k. The only thing I wish I could’ve gotten is A51 color, but a vinyl wrap is a lot cheaper than upgrading to BB.
I avoided the factory rock...
I'd just put an asterisk on this concerning future technologies. Graphene supercapacitors and solid state batteries could solve all those issues by providing energy storage that doesn't wear out in practical use, could be green to manufacture, provide equivalent range to a fossil fuel vehicle...
This worked perfectly for me. I have not changed my order since I initially placed it, but I was able to find all the options I had selected. Now just to wait for my dealer to confirm my priority code.
Thanks for posting this walkthrough!
thanks for sharing! The Bronco looks like it dwarfs that wrangler... I definitely love that the Bronco is bigger than the wrangler but also not full size.
looks like a GoPro mount to me, we know that is an accessory mounting location, so it’s not totally unexpected to see something mounted...
Oh man..... I loved that my basquatch wasn't going to have a badge, but I think I like this better!
(disclaimer, my profile pic has been there since before the sasquatch package was even announced)
It’s entirely possible Ford may put some wear reducing patch over it before full production, if they don’t, and they don’t change using it as the 150 degree stop, it will eventually start to rust (probably a good bit after the warranty expires though), so I’d throw the $5 to prevent that.
I’m...
Yup, saw this and got some closeup pics of it on the one at super celebration west (if you search my username in thread titles you’ll find all the images).
an early mod I plan is a couple pieces of rubberized tape on those hinges, will save the paint and prevent it from wearing down and...
It’s a fuel saving measure I think, kind of like locking hubs, interesting that it looks like Sasquatch does not get it, so I’m guessing it’s tied to the m190 front differential
Yes, and as far as I can tell the 10A also (you can only get the advanced transfer case on base with sasquatch, requiring the auto for MY21), plus the price difference is equal to $795+$1545 on the MSRP, which is both the auto and the advanced transfer case
So, this is really weird, the last B&P update they upped the price of sas by adding on the 10A separately, if you look at the base 2 door advanced (code E5C), that is obviously including the 10A, and the advanced transfer case, accounting for the $1,595 for the 10A and the $795 for the transfer...
Now that I keep staring at it, yeah that makes sense.
It’s also where the alternator is on the f-150, I suspect they couldn’t fit it there in the smaller Bronco engine bay, so threw on an idler to use the same belt as an f-150, and added a second belt to drive the relocated alternator.
Here’s an image from the b&p. Looks like a bit more than that to me, and it looks like the tensioner is in the center. (Though I could be wrong)
This serpentine set up is weird, there’s one pulley than on the f-150, and then a second belt for the alternator, I wonder what drove these changes...
Do we have any idea what this is? I noticed the 2.7 has an extra accessory that I don’t see on the 2.3 or the f-150 2.7
The alternator is below it, you can see the AC compressor pulley on the right of the photo, and the water pump is above the compressor.
Since it has electric power...
Sad to hear that (but thanks for bumping me up in line some! ?)
For all you’ve done on this forum though, I think you may have a case for an “honorary bronco” sticker on the Jeep until you get an actual bronco!
2 door all the way. I want a replacement for the 96 I used to have, so the 4 door is right out. It’s also just me, so I don’t really need the extra doors or fifth seat (and if I do start a family, well my parents did just fine with a 2 door Bronco when I was a kid).
Also, after driving the...
Not a huge deal for me, but since my first Bronco was a 96, I want the first year of new production, and a 21 my makes it an even 25 year gap too.
It’s no big deal if I end up with a my22, but I’d prefer a my21.
