My 96 was just “the Bronco”
I named my 89 “Meg“ (short for megalodon, because it felt like a shark rolling through traffic, stupid, I know ?)
I named my 2015 f150 “Bismarck”, because it feels like a large battleship
So, I’ll have to drive it first, and I’ll probably name it whatever comes to...
One of our insiders confirmed a while ago that trail control and turn come with the automatic transmission, and one pedal driving comes with the 2.7. This was a bit ago though, so it is subject to change before production.
You don’t need the 2.7, there was actually a 2.3 Sasquatch caught testing the other day, and Mike Levine has confirmed it will be available with both engines.
As far as the transmission, last official communication was that auto would be required for Sasquatch, but that Ford was open to...
I'm still super pumped, went camping last weekend, got into some spots with my truck that made me think "geez, this is going to be so much easier once I get my Bronco"
Do you happen to know anything more about those removable windows, or are we still waiting on more info from Ford on this? On Ford's website it looks like the modular hardtop option is only available 2 door models of outer banks trim or higher.
Is it possible ford meant all hardtops in the...
Hey, that's the 4x4 parts store just off I-70 and I-225, these must've been the ones testing at altitude the other day
(I haven't caught up on the thread yet, sorry if someone else pointed this out)
I'd actually be really surprised if the sasquatch has a different price on any trim except badlands. I'm expecting about $5k for it, on everything below the BL trim. (Plus auto, but if you are already planning on the auto, that isn't really a part of sasquatch)
The floor stamping is going to be the same regardless of model, it’s entirely possible you wouldn’t have to drill a hole at all. If you do though, there are plenty of ways to make sure it’s sealed properly to avoid rust.
Admittedly, if the Sasquatch package is significantly over $5k I probably won’t spring for it, my hope is to get a 2 door basequatch with the 2.7, aux switches, and keypad for under 40.
Probably, but we won’t know 100% until the build and price, Mike Levine said they were open to feedback, and when asked about it again he gave a response along the lines of “wait and see” (I can’t remember the exact tweet), so it’s possible it may be available with the manual, but I wouldn’t bet...
My plan is the basequatch.
with so many trim levels not having the rubberized floor with drain plugs, I suspect the aftermarket (or Ford) will jump in with diy install options, and I also suspect waterproof seat covers will come out pretty quick.
with the Sasquatch you also get a stronger...
I suspect the 2 door should be at least competitive with the ttb full size Broncos, probably better, while the 4 door is likely to be a slightly larger turning radius compared to an fsb.
turning radius is defined by 2 factors, how far you can crank the front tires, and wheelbase, the longer...
That is possible, and would go with what I said, but the implication up to this point is that they’d be 2021 models.
The things that really bother me on this are the lack of communication from Ford (at least send out an email that first delivery is delayed to June instead of stealth editing the...
Well, most things haven't been enough to get me to join the "flip the table" crowd, but this one is pretty aggravating.
Why the hell didn't they close the reservations before this point? Also, they really should just make them all MY 2022 if they won't even start deliveries until June.
Also...
Have we gotten any more info on the removal quarter windows in the hard top? Right after the reveal the Ford info packet they sent out to news outlets said that you could remove the rear quarter windows from the hard top easily, but we haven’t seen anything further on this feature.
The weak point is much more likely to be the cv joints than the axle itself. It is likely to be stronger than a solid axle compared to the ifs just due to the flex and bending loads from the tire being flung around being transmitted to the a-arms, and not the axle tube.
edit: I meant the diff...
