Dude THANK YOU!
This is exactly what I was looking for. I’m hoping to make my own out of some nylon straps and heavy duty tension brackets/hooks/etc, and I needed a jumping off point. I’m gonna journal it in a different thread.
Thank you so so much for taking the time.
No problems so far! My deflector sits a mm or two behind the hood lip, but it's not something you'd notice unless you get right up on it.
I don’t garage park, so my deflector has had its fair share of exposure to the elements since it’s install back in October. Still holding up strong!
As far...
I don’t hate this practice… maybe I’ll buy a pack of ducks for the jeeps, and a pack of horses for the broncos
or maybe I’ll hot glue the duck on top of the horse and leave those 🤓
I got my armrest cover yesterday and it’s definitely a solid buy!
The cover fits very snugly on the arm rest and the padding adds a nice bit of cushion on top of it. Not a lot, but enough to feel like less of lid like how it feels stock. There hasn’t been any slippage of the cover when I rest...
I actually already own a set of garage storage bags, which aren't much different from the on-vehicle ones save some additional padding.
The harness is the thing I'm looking to get out of this. But yeah if you came across another post please send it my way!
My goal is to (hopefully) be able to replicate what Ford sells as closely as I can. It looks to be designed in a way to provide a bit more support for the times when it's needed, at least more than a couple of straps looped through the d-rings.
Personally, I plan on taking off the doors and...
Makes sense! Looks like an optional insert in the diagram, and that the bulk of the support from the harness goes towards keeping the doors from shifting about.
Only thing I've seen lately is a post from user flip here.
His dealership Ruxer Ford apparently got a pallet full of them and sold them off for $750~$800 (~$150 for the bags, ~$600 for the harness) according to the comment thread. The link he posted is dead and it looks like the item is no...
So... As many of you have learned by now, the only way to guarantee getting a set of on-vehicle door storage bags + harness, is to order one alongside ordering your vehicle. If you don't do this, you are stuck in the position of either waiting for someone to sell one off, or buying it GROSSLY...
Solid list!
Not sure if it’s worth mentioning, but my Bronco had a faulty air vent open/close toggle when I first got it.
Dealer had to pull the whole dash apart to replace it.
Hey Chris! Question:
You mentioned earlier in the thread that there are 7 mapped options and the eco, sport, and race settings are just presets within those 7 mappings.
I’m fairly novice when it comes to tuning metrics and terminology, so I was hoping for a little more elaboration on that...
I installed mine directly onto the factory-installed PPF strip on the front of the hood. It’s holding up fine, you just have to make sure you don’t have any creases in the adhesive strip before you fully peel the backing and apply pressure to it to permanently affix it.
A two-inch peel-back of...
A word of caution to those installing the deflector:
The install kit comes with a couple of isopropyl alcohol wipes, as well as a solution they tell you to run across the surface where the deflector adheres to the hood. I suggest you DO NOT use the solution included with the install kit.
I...
