I have no clue what's legal in CA. I'm in PA. No one has bothered me with mine for over a year.
But you can get what's called a fuse tap, which is essentially a replacement fuse with a wire running out of it & make your connection to that for the amber DRL.
If you replace fuse #24 with that...
I used the diode dynamics harness that came with mine & I already had a fuse tap on 24 from my Grill letters, so I just spliced my backlight into that harness. Cheap & simple.
These are factory brand new, so I'll leave them be for now.
But after being in the spot of replacing this rack because of a failed tie rod boot, it did pain me just a bit to open the sealed/clamped end off the new one.
I can tell you, I'll definitely be checking them far more frequently in...
Succesfully installed my 3.0 rack last night. Zero issues at all. I followed the write up that went step by step for the physical install & included torque values (I think it's somewhere around page 40 in this thread).
No errors on startup, drove straight & tracked fine, only thing for...
You're joking, but I grew up with a father who installed flooring. It was pretty much standard practice if there was a 3rd guy on the crew for whoever was low man to ride to the jobsite in a folding camp chair (before those were a thing, just on a bucket) in the cargo area of the panel van.....
As a follow up, last week, Turn told me they'd be sending an adapter plate.
I wasn't thrilled about that & eventually they told me that the adapter plate was a temporary fix while they manufactured new mounting plates.
So I guess we wait to see how long it takes to get an adapter / or the new...
In a perfect world.
Also, if anyone in the future is looking for it, here's that 5 pin plug, per Flip.
I'm going to try ordering a new one, since we know the locking tab is messed up on mine
Just don't be stupid like me & put the plugs in backwards LOL.
Black (plug) to the Back is something I'll never forget now.
Honestly though, i'm kinda curious why they have the same size style plug given that one of them only has 2 actual pins in it. Seems like a place where they could've...
3.0 rack was programmed & plugged into my Bronco, no codes in Forscan.
It was never installed, as I took it to @zuke for programming only.
I plugged the still installed 2.0 rack in to drive home, had the PSCM plugs backwards & that caused a rash of codes & loss of PSCM communication, persisting...
Update - I'm not sure exactly what the issue was, but it's fixed.
Last evening I pulled the main fuse, checked it visually & with a meter for continuity & it was good.
We checked every fuse in the entire box, just to be safe. All were good.
Pulled the PSCM plugs from the 2.0 installed rack &...
Unfortunately, the EZ turn it off & back on method didn't work in this case. 6 hours with the battery disconnected & all the errors as soon as I put it back on.
Tomorrow I'll start checking everything I can think of for power, ground etc & see where it goes from there.
I'd agree. We can establish Forscan connection & check other modules.
PCSM is the only module we're not seeing on forscan. I'm just imagining worst case scenario.
We checked the two pins you mentioned in the previous message 1 & 3.
When I get it home from Virginia, we'll check the rest of them for power & ground.
If the issue was with the CAN circuits, what does that fix look like?
We pulled it for like 30 minutes before we needed to load it into a...
Question - how was this resolved?
@zuke & I ran into a similar issue today with my Bronco.
We programmed my 3.0 rack & checked it plugged into my Bronco for errors & all was good.
I plugged my 2.0 rack back in & accidentally got my plugs backwards. After that, my Bronco wouldn't recognize a...
