Has anyone actually seen a new MIC Top? If Ford had such confidence, why wouldn't they just release images of the edge seams and new build quality? Keep an eye out for any detailed photos.
Did anyone notice anything different about the ERUPTION GREEN Bronco that has been on display? Since GREEN is a MY22 option I'm wondering what else might have changed other than the color? Or, do you think they just painted a MY21?
I am not buying that MICS are going to schedule in any great numbers this week (technically, for the 3 weeks in October). For one, Ford Authority reports "As a result, Ford will replace every MIC top that’s been produced so far, and has pushed all unscheduled Bronco orders to the 2022 model...
When ever I get my BASE build, I would be willing to switch my 'BLACK LETTER GRILLE' for a 'WHITE LETTER GRILLE' - post here if you are interested in a swap. Would save me a ton of trouble removing and painting letters... I am near ATLANTA.
If you guys have been watching the 8/26 Scheduling Email Received Group! thread, you'll notice that newly scheduled orders for Soft Tops are moving rapidly through the reservation queue. For the first time this week we are seeing orders for reservations extending well beyond July 2020. The...
I think we'll know more tomorrow when the scheduling e-mails go out. The latest reservation that I've seen get scheduled is 7/18/20. If we start to see the early reservations clear out, then we should be in good shape. Stay tuned.
NOTE TO SELF: Always get the $100 refundable reservation as soon as you can. I'm like you - I have a late reservation. Wish I had considered that $100 is nothing and could always be refunded... I would have been a day 1 reservation.
Okay, I think I found the 44% you are referring to. I could be wrong, but this is talking about the production mix in July. Not the actual percentage ordered.
Keep in mind that it's your RESERVATION DATE that is the key (not the ORDER DATE). Your order may change over time, but your RESERVATION time stamp is fixed!
I think the dealer would need my consent to change my order, so I don't expect that it'll get updated automatically. But, with that...
HELL NO! It doesn't buy me anything... I can switch Mid November (once all the scheduling is done for December) and still have my same place in line without taking myself out of the MY21 queue. This preserves my chances at a MY21 build without jeopardizing a potential MY22 build.
Does anybody have any more reliable numbers than what I had in this thread (above)?
ASSUMPTIONS:
125,000 orders (that's the latest I could find)
21% Soft Tops (based on the Bronco6g poll)
12,000 per month (manufacturing capacity, based on July results)
The way I see it is that we with Soft Top ORDERS have a short window of opportunity before the Hard Tops kick back in. The bet is that our Soft Top will accelerate in the queue due to the hold on Hard Tops. As soon as you switch to MY22 you are almost guaranteed to be back in the BIG QUEUE...
Well, only about 21% of the Broncos ordered are Soft Tops (it's very unclear that this number is still viable given the momentum to switch). And, then you have September 13th coming up - meaning that a number of orders will switch to MY22 Broncos (I think many will switch given the extreme...
