My old Saturn, which leaked oil, was the "Exxon Valdez." My Escape is Chart Yellow and is lovingly called "Sunny-D Truck," since the color is the same as the breakfast drink. Haven't decided on a name for the Bronco yet. "Billy" has been suggested.
We are zealots! It would be good to know how many reservations Ford has received, how many are from Forum members, and how many Forum members made duplicate reservations.
A lot going on in this thread already... Ford should have been better prepared for the excitement and rush of reservations. Test the reservation website. Use a server that can handle the demand. Even with Covid-19, there was enough time to do this; it did not have to be performed in person...
I learned how to drive out of necessity at age 26 and my dad's car had an automatic transmission. None of my friends who drive stick currently own an MT vehicle, so my options to learn MT are limited.
I selected a Big Bend on reveal night. When looking at the trims, I neglected to see that automatic transmission was an option for the Base. This was after twelve hours working two jobs (one is 9am-2pm, the other is 3pm-10pm) and *lots* of excitement, adrenaline, and caffeine flowing. I'm a...
Yup, that's what I'm thinking, too.
Summer 2019 I randomly contacted a dealer in Georgia who posted information online. A salesman called back and asked if I wanted to "come in and test drive a Bronco." "How is that possible?," I asked, "Ford hasn't even built it yet." But maybe I'd buy...
Ben, thanks for your posts. It IS nice to see someone who works for a dealer who is as enthusiastic about the new Bronco as we are. Have to say, prior to the reveal, by reading bronco6g forum posts/news, and by having the Bronco as a Google News alert, I knew a heck of a lot more than any person...
Dave, thanks for sharing your heartfelt story. Am sorry that your dad passed before enjoying his Bronco. I hope that you and your daughter have many happy memories together in your Bronco.
Here we go Steelers, Here we go! Let's go Pens! Let's go Bucs!
The Bronco will be a toy. If something were to happen to my Escape, I'd lease a Crosstrek and buy a Bronco at the end of the lease. Every extra month of waiting = more money in the Bronco bank account.
My concern with a rear mounted spare tire is reduced visibility when looking in the rear view mirror. It's something I'll have to get used to -- with limited cargo space in the two door, the tire's gonna stay mounted.
My Bronco will be sticker free for at least a year. Don't want my sports teams or my political views to result in someone keying my truck or forcing me off the road. Too many crazies out there.
Same here. I've had nothing but positive experiences with Bob Davidson Ford. Am sure that the best deal will be negotiated. I'm all about relationships, and the last 18 years have been great. Plus, they're a mile from where I work, so a huge convenience factor.
Have orders begun to be placed yet for the Bronco Sport? If so, has anyone who reserved a Bronco Sport been able to change dealers when the order was placed? Thanks.
