My Hi-Lift jack was delivered at 4:30 this afternoon. I ran over something that sprung up and pierced my sidewall at 6:00, I was flat in seconds. My wife brought me the high lift jack and I changed the tire by 6:30. I doubt anyone had needed a jack to change a flat within 90 minutes. Call Guinness.
Some times cops just make stuff up and have other reasons to pull you over that you'll never know about. I was once driving a windy country road and came up to a red light. I was in a Taurus, not known for being a lightning fast vehicle. Across the intersection was a cop who pulled me over...
At exactly 4000 miles, I finally got her offroad for the first time at NORA, same location as the reveal in 2020. There is the rock I inexplicably decided to go over which is about to kiss my slider.
The lights under the side mirrors did nicely, better than I thought they would. I just wish they didn't turn off every time I went over 10mph, but they helped a lot when the trees got tight as I was last in the caravan.
Between your Radio Volume and Radio Tune Dials there should be a row of buttons. The one closest to the tune dial is a "P" next to an icon of a parking cone. Hit that and the alarms will stop. It will automatically turn back on after you turn on your vehicle, so you'll need to do it every...
I don't think I've ever been thankful for my tinnitus. It drowns out a lot of the creaks and ticks. Those that are louder can be drowned out by Tool, Metallica and Soundgarden.
One other thing I forgot to mention. If you have the factory bar on your bumper, you’ll need to grind out a bit of a notch, or just remove the bar. I chose to reinstall it since I was forced to pay for it and I have grown accustomed to the look of it
Been a while, but I finally had a chance to complete my install. This is what comes in the box, including the wiring quick adapter (which I haven't done yet) and the frame horn reinforcements (bottom silver units).
Quick note about the frame horn pieces, the existing hole in the frame is too...
I got into paid surveys years ago for specialized software in my field, so I've taken a lot of these. The issue is that Ford didn't make it (most likely). They probably used a vendor to design these who know only the basics of the car market, much less a specialty vehicle like the Bronco.
I've got Metal Tech 4x4 frame mounted sliders on mine. American made, works well as a step, and they cover up the pinch weld nicely. No modifications to the frame needed, they use existing hardware and mounting points. I haven't had a chance to get them off road yet.
I'm not sure if this will help, but one of my doors wasn't closing right, so I took it and reseated it. It closes much better now. Some of your alignment issues with the door and roof may be due to the fact that they are removable. It's worth a shot to try.
I'm doing my best to source as many of my mods/upgrades from domestic sources as possible.
What I've done so far:
Metal Tech 4x4 rock sliders
RockBlox mud flaps
Trek Armor paracord handles
Freedom Ropes and Factor 55 recovery gear
What's planned:
Maximus-3 detatchable winch mount
Warn Zeon 10S...
What dash cam are you running? It appears that the top-of-dash ports are too low amperage to run my dashcam, I need to use the under-dash ports. The ports work, they'll charge my phone, but not the camera.
Yeah, it was a quick fix. I put the doors on in the dark and didn't realize how loose the bolts were. Tightened them up to spec with a torque wrench and all is good.
So I took the doors off for the first time today, pretty fun running the kids around town. When I put them back on, 2 of the 4 doors are clicking. Windows are fine, fit is fine, locks are fine, no error codes. I used an AI and it replied that I have them under torqued. Let you know tomorrow when...
