The antenna sits indented in the sheet metal. So yes, if the antenna is properly aligned in the sheet metal and you are experiencing the issue you can rotate the antenna 180deg so it is no longer correctly aligned within the sheet metal. If it’s already installed backwards then I think in step...
Not exactly. The fix puts them backwards from originally designed location. It’s Ford’s attempt to resolve the issue of a poor design. My guess is a true fix would require a complete relocation of the antenna or adding additional antennas.
Yep 4 doors here. It’s been close to two months since performing the fix and maybe it’s a slight improvement but it’ll still annoyingly cut out until the middle roof panel is removed. With the panel out of the equation satellite radio might be actually enjoyable. Now if only the sound system...
Usually keep them all the way up or down so I haven’t noticed the rattle however I had them down on a recent roadtrip and at 75mph I noticed they are unable to seal if I attempt to close them at that speed. Had to slowdown to 55mph in a 80mph zone for the windows to close.
I was there 8/13 and the 4 in my group had 6k -8k miles. All the M/T tires are showing signs of wear due to the hot sand. We had one on the ko2’s that wasn’t too bad. They haven’t had any significant issues and the worst damage our guide recalled was back when they would allow the groups to use...
I too brought up the Raptor while I was at GOBI’s location last week. They haven’t seen a Raptor yet so currently they too believe the stealth rack may not fit around the rear fenders. If anyone here actually has a Raptor I would suggest contacting GOBI and ask if they would be willing to look...
Next week I have an appointment for GOBI to swap out the prototype rear mounts for production ones. Not sure what the change is as the prototype has been great. Maybe new ones are compatible with more aftermarket bumpers. Then I’ll have it up at the Moab off rodeo on the 13th.
250lbs is perfect for a cooler and some camping gear just don’t load concrete or bricks on the back. As for a hitch swing arm 250 is about the max you’ll find.
Sounds like a lot of fun. I just got back from a road trip out to OBX from Colorado but opted to take the Explorer over Bronco for the simple fact we have 3 girls and wanted them to each have plenty of room. Explorer did great but I will admit every time I saw a Bronco I was sad that mine was...
Finished the fix as mentioned in the TSB and noticed a significant improvement. There’s no need to remove the top just remove the rear header trim panel to access the bolt holding the antenna cut the plastic tab with a razor knife and reinstall rotating the antenna 180deg from original orientation.
