Ran topless with a set covers from https://www.bartact.com/ over cloth sets for years without issue. I also sprayed the covers with 303 fabric guard regularly for extra measure.

I think it is black molded plastic like the fender flares.

I’m in the Squatch camp myself, but I gotta admit I love the fact that they are offering the steelies. I can’t wait to see them rockin’ it out in the trail.

Thanks for posting. I think the only thing I like less than the carbonized gray grill is the gloss black. Bummed that Ford mixed and matched so many colors and textures.

The camera locations are rear spare tire, front grill and under each side mirrors. The only ones that I would be concerned with are the side mirror cameras. The side mirrors could be vulnerable in tight spaces.

Mileage varies based on use. There are also other parts that could go first that may force the issue. Some of the JKs had some problematic throwout bearings. You may as well change the clutch if you are in there already... I can tell you that I had a few pretty hard wheeling sessions that...

Car seats and 2-Doors are a recipe for A LOT of stress......especially if this is your first. Lift and tires later....hand down easy decision. This thing will wheel quite well in all stock trims.

It is not uncommon for the factory to design the provision for the winch mounting plate to be tucked inside the bumper. They designed this from the ground up thought if so many things...except IMO the winch mount.

I still can't believe that this made it past engineering.....The winch mount had to be an afterthought.
