I helped my mother buy a new Mercedes SUV 2 years ago. The local dealership had two G-Wagons in the showroom. $160K used and $190K new. The new one had the AMG appearance package and was really cool looking. I guess if you're rich, that kind of vehicle sets you apart from the masses.
This may have been covered (103 pages and counting on this thread). People who upgrade their wheels/tires but keep the original "dinky" looking spare. I took a lot of flak pointing this out several months ago. It just screams that you cheaped out!
@OldHippy I read your post a little more carefully. The Kicker powered sub has a DC Offset setting. You should not have needed the REM wire to turn the amp on/off. It should do that automatically by reading the signal from your high level inputs.
@mpeugeot , do you remember if the B&O kick speakers had capacitors on them? I wouldn't think so because they are powered by the DSP/amp (but you never know...). My build is supposed to happen next week, so I'm getting my speaker swaps ready to go.
Both the HS8 and HS10 have a 25hz subsonic filter to protect the woofer. They both feature a bass boost at around 40HZ. If you want a sub to play much lower, then a thin hideaway sub is probably not the product for you.
Most music doesn't go lower than 40Hz. 41.2 Hz is the lowest note that a 4...
For most people, that' a great solution. If you want a higher weight bearing capacity (like a platform that we larger size humans can stand on) heavy duty industrial slides would work. The four door only has a 29" cargo depth, so it's not like you can put a long drawer in the back (unless you...
I agree. It's basic physics. The larger tires create a greater coefficient of friction to overcome. You apply more power, stress the axle and...things happen.
Bronco definitely had pent up demand. It will be interesting to see what the first refresh model year offers. I bet that the interior will get a significant upgrade. More tire/wheel options. Diesel and hybrid engine options.
