So I got the parts diagram, the local dealer can't find the header piece, says I have to buy the whole soft top for $4,169??? Here's the diagram I circled the part that I need any help would be appreciated! Can't drive our Bronco without it! Forum members do what we do best and help out...

This is wise advise, stopping the normal routine is exactly the decision loop to be in.

One would hope, I should have known. My head wasn't in the right space after damaging my Bronco. Should have never got on the ladder! I'm just hoping someone on the Forum can help me find the part I broke. I know we have a deep bench so we'll see.

Yes, was thinking about that, but I hate making claims. If I can't find the repair parts, I may have to. Our Upholstery shop does all kinds of convertibles and he said he can fix it if I can get the Composite Header part. We'll see.

I do remember a family trip, Michigan to Florida, dad drove the Aerostar into a gas station car wash, and crunched all our luggage that was in the rooftop carrier! Must be in my DNA!

Okay, I'll certainly consider that. The cable that pulls the fabric twill on the side has a small bracket attached and must pull down the rubber seal when closing. My hope is someone on the Forum might know of a part number for the composite cross piece to purchase another. We really do...

Well we had a Tropical storm coming through and the MachE was Scared, needed Big Brother to talk him through the Thunder and Wind!

Backed up into the garage with the soft top open!

Oh I would have so much rather ripped off a bike wrack than my expensive Ford top! Not that either are enjoyable don't get me wrong.
