    Ahh..hmm..I'm not a PEP Boys employee, but if you're "more comfortable" with installing 1'" spacers, I'd absolutely cut the wheel studs down to a 1/4 inch. Post highway pics when done.

    Is yours installed correctly? there is no way for flop as the front of the Jtop goes under the latch locks WITH 2 locking clamps on top of that to prevent any flop.. from your pic, it looks like your's installed upside down.
