They can't dictate under the franchise rules. That's why Tesla was such a big deal and break from the traditional dealership models. They're only allowed Manufacturer's SUGGESTED Retail Price. That's the argument you all should be having.
I do, I really do but pricing is the greedy dealer problem. I don't really know how my comment started so many side arguments. I agree with all of you. I was just surprised how many people switched to one dealer. When Barstool Sports came to my local pizzeria all of a sudden 500 people wanted...
I get that. I really do. But it also stood out to me that I didn't see how it was going to work out with so many people switching to a single dealer. In my decision process I decided to stay with my original dealer at MSRP instead of switching to one an hour away with $1000 under.
Totally possible... I don't know how many orders they got but this forum was over run with posts and the article says he's 400 in line so it's substantial.
Ahhh yes trolls. The equivalent of calling someone racist when you don't want to debate facts and they have a different opinion.
I'm not trolling him. I feel bad for EVERYONE who is still waiting. Again people... PLEASE.... READ WHAT I WROTE.
How is it nobody thought about the possibility...
I'm sorry for you. I'm not saying you did anything wrong. I was just pointing out that when I was seeing everyone going to Granger my first though was how are they going to handle that? I never read anyone mention that possibility and it shocked me that nobody thought it might end up a problem...
Ok dude. It's an obvious exaggeration to explain a point. I don't give a crap if you find me credible or not. A single dealer is not going to be able to fulfill two thousand orders and not piss off the people at the end of that line. If you can't get that concept then I don't know what to tell you.
There are over 3,000 Ford dealerships across the United States. I don't know how many more in canada. It seems like people think if the first 5,000 reservation holders all lived in the same state that Ford was going to send all 5,000 vehicles to that one state because they ordered first. That's...
And I'm all for shaming and calling out the greedy dealers charging over MSRP. That is crap and hopefully people remember when supply is fixed and they have car sitting on the lots. People should be offering $20,000 under MSRP at that point and showing them pictures of their ridiculous dealer...
Yeah seriously. Why would you think a single dealership in Iowa would be able to sell HUNDREDS of vehicles a month? Especially one that is this popular and during an unprecedented global supply shortage during a pandemic?
Take out the online reservation system for a second. If everyone just...
I live in north Jersey and drive it everyday. Bandlands Sasquatch. Love it. Drives great and I actually get better gas mileage than my 2011 Mustang GT and my wife's 2012 Edge lol.
I get that Granger was doing a great thing for everyone and they were probably one of if not the best dealership here to get info from and order from but one thing always struck me as odd. I saw hundreds of reservation holders jumping on the Granger bandwagon and I even considered it too for a...
I do. I went to him and he said he could fabricate something for me but had no idea as far as weight issues and such. I'm not an engineer and last thing I want is to do is rip off my roof.
I ended up buying an M416 military trailer. I'm putting a rack on it for the kayak and canoe.l, my...
