All about the gains! Check these dyno numbers from one of our latest dyno sessions with @crpengineering's Bronco/Ranger Raptor stage 3 Turbo upgrades! Just a touch under 650 RWHP! Not bad at all for as stock frame compressor upgrade only turbo! Really looking forward to the upgraded turbines...
LOL there always has to be one person in the crowed.
This is beyond the most ignorant thing I've read in a while. The manual has literally nothing to do with any this, of course the manual says that. The factory tune is not setup for flex fuel. That's why the car has to be tuned for it. As far...
Not on the bronco but a similar mod list with a few more to do e85 made 439 rwhp and 482 ft-lbs ituned it it currently holds the ranger quarter mile record.
You aren't getting anything more out of that turbo than you would have gotten with a proper tune on stock turbo. The jb4 can only do so much sensor manipulation. Trying to use it with bigger turbos is all around a bad idea.
It would make less, c16 isn't a great fuel when you have the advantage of direct injection. Ethanol is king with di, and it's 100% because of the evaporative cooling that happens directly in the combustion chamber when the fuel is injected. That's what allows the the spark advance to be at or...
It's completely pointless to do a turbo upgrade until true custom tuning is available for a 2.3l. That's why they haven't really launched a turbo based on the bronco turbo turbo, there no point to even doing it.
Also the stages don't cross engine platforms. Stage 3 on a 2.3l isn't even...
Last Friday, we spent some time on the dyno with Matt's 2022 2.7l Wildtracks Bronco. Previously, it made 404 rwhp on e85, which was great. Matt wanted a little bit more, so he added CR Performance Engineering stage 3 turbos and a port fuel injector upgrade. The results? 501rwhp and 588 ft-lbs...
Verious changes through the transmission tune, there are multiple profiles built into the trans tune that are used by the bronco raptor and they are all tweaked in various ways. I have my own profiles that I use, that I've built over the years, a lot of the base calibration is carried over...
