I bet you feel like the kid hanging out the window. Great post!
  2. Will a Bronco need rock sliders to drive the entire Alpine Loop in Colorado?

Thank you. All this info really helps with planning.
  3. Will a Bronco need rock sliders to drive the entire Alpine Loop in Colorado?

Hearing a recommendation here is better than just searching the web! We have never been to Silverton or Ouray. A place of your own sound wonderful. Any good camps with hookup around Lake City to recommend?
  4. Will a Bronco need rock sliders to drive the entire Alpine Loop in Colorado?

TXAG96 we just got that same guide book! 8cam we plan to use the Bronco for toad so KOA is a good recommendation. We also have a 2 door so thanks for the heads up. Thanks for the comments and advice. WE EXPECT TRIP PHOTOS! yes I yelled
  5. Skid Plate Bolt Size & Thread

They come from the factory with the clips that have a nut built in. Not exactly a nut but it catches on the threads of the bolt. Hopefully someone will recall the name of these clips. It is not a welded nut. I believe factory uses a 12 mm bolt maybe 25 mm long. Looked it up and the name is...
  6. Got a little deeper than expected. Should I change the diff fluid?

Aahhh the wonders of 4x4. Get you stuck even better. Did you get out without flooding your interior?
  7. Air pressure 35" x 12.50"

Our chalk test showed our 35's got a full chalk line across the tread at 30. We started at 35 psi and reduced by 1 psi until the line got where we were happy! They are Mickey Thompson E rated.
  8. Forgive me Father, for I have had impure Jeep thoughts…

I could probably be persuaded by a CJ model...maybe, perhaps. But not any model following the CJ. I really like the stark metal dash, metal everything (until it rusts) of the older CJ's. We had a 79 and it had a clunk. Took it back to the dealer and all it was, was it was missing a motor...
  9. Element Fire Extinguisher

For fire inside an RV the Element would be a great choice. For an outdoor fire?? For an engine fire I think I'd like an Element within hands reach and a ABC in the back.
  10. Flat tow equipment needed to flat tow the 2021 Bronco?

Even after reading this thread a couple times, this is the 1st time to notice post # 74. Adding a charge line to our TOAD battery is now on the radar. Cheap enough to try and it it solves the problem so much the better. Thanks beerme1986 and interior guy
  11. Flat tow equipment needed to flat tow the 2021 Bronco?

I think you are right. That would make everything easier! And that's good!
  12. Flat tow equipment needed to flat tow the 2021 Bronco?

Just to add that if skid plate does need to be cut, it is at a point that is mostly behind the modular bumper. I just placed my order!!
  13. Flat tow equipment needed to flat tow the 2021 Bronco?

Very good. This is the best option I have seen for an emergency tow hook.
  14. TrailRax Modular Roof Rack For Your Bronco

Looking forward to the 2 door items.
  15. Flat tow equipment needed to flat tow the 2021 Bronco?

I adjusted my printer scaling and came out with a cardboard jig that is very close to Tilzbow's measurements. I believe those tow points will work so we will order a set. Where the pencil is pointing in these pics are 2 points of a little concern. Picture 1. pretty sure the skid plate will...
  16. Flat tow equipment needed to flat tow the 2021 Bronco?

Thank you!! I appreciate your posting this. I will try to get back here and report if how it fits on modular bumper and factory metal skid.
  17. Flat tow equipment needed to flat tow the 2021 Bronco?

Would you mind posting the measurement of the existing red circled hole to the center of the drop loop home...that will receive the safety hook? And the measurement from the outer frame face back to the existing hole? That would be very useful. Thank you for the postings you have previously...
  18. Flat tow equipment needed to flat tow the 2021 Bronco?

For safety cable hook up, I would like to use something like the LOD Black OPS Bumper Frame tie in bracket. Crawling around yesterday, I also think that on the Modular bumper and factory front skid plate that it will require notching for the bracket to hang down through the skid plate. If any...
  19. Is the Extended Service Plan (PremiumCare) a good value based on the Bronco service schedule?

Just to jump in here and say that we went with Flood extended warranty because they post pricing on line, they allow Ford points on line and their price was very good. Got signed up and never spoke to anyone because there was no need. Granger was harder.
