Completed my rear seat delete and threw a cheap rubber mat down to keep the dogs from slipping. Will find something better long term but this is just quick for them.
@Ducati1098 do you have the tool referenced above and able to tell me what it is so I can ask my dealer? I’m the first manual sold through them and first for the tsb.
Just swung by the dealer and parts are in for mine. Not sure how long they’ve been in. Scheduled in for July 10th to get the tsb repair completed. Hopefully uneventful repair.
In the new superduty you have the option of turning it off in the vehicle settings, hoping they will bring that in eventually. I received an email recently saying an update will be happening soon but I have not updated since February.
I just looked back and on March 9 I posted the updated numbers on the work order from my dealership. Haven’t heard back about the parts being in yet though. Maybe I will give them a call soon.
I’m not so sure weather played that much in to it as much as transmission temperatures did. But mine makes noises at all times now and it’s 26°C(about 79°F) out right now.
My dealer had the ability to track everything through their website. I just had to enter my order number and I knew everything about it. I’m not sure why more dealers don’t have this for us. It was really great during the entire process other than I could see every build date change and I had many.
If no one gets the fix, where is the problem? If the fix doesn’t prove to fix the problem ford needs to know so adjustments can be made and hopefully a full fix happens.
The issue may be that we have seen carnage coming out of these transmissions already. And up until just recently parts had not been updated. Now we have an updated part coming so we need to wait for that to be used and see the outcome of that. 🤞🏼updated part gives us a fix.
Should still be 5 then. 80-86 had different wheel arches compared to 87-96 and different body lines. Hoods are not interchangeable between the 3 similar gens either. 80-86 was/is my favourite and more specifically 85-86.
Same being in Canada. Took mine in with them knowing about the tsb because I brought it up. When I got my parts lost it was the first documented case of the updated synchro. @scondarc you need to present the tsb to your dealer. Being a ‘22 you should be included. Could be they aren’t aware of it.
