I just got my Bronco back from service. I had asked to make sure I had the newest ABS update, which they were able to apply, and I had already gotten the latest OTA a few weeks ago.
To note, I did flat tow about 8 hours total last week, after having gotten the OTA update (that gives the error...
I can verify that I got the OTA update that gives you the brake warning when entering flat tow mode, and successfully towed about 6 hours with zero issues, WITHOUT pulling any fuses.
To note, I did not yet get the dealer installed ABS update, so it might be the exact same update as the OTA...
Funny, I have wireless lighting and roadmaster air brakes on my 2.7 and for whatever reason, I've been using my Jackery and a trickle charger while towing it.
Now that I think about it, I doubt the brake assist drains much, and neutral tow mode is not like accessory mode is on.
I have not...
Went to schedule the SSM 51415 Flat Tow Fix today. All the dealers near me have 1-3 month wait for service. When asked, they said it is that way for if you car doesn't function as well. Gotta love Ford.
Oh boy! This is a game changer, from a pure pain in the ass perspective, if corrected.
I have a 6 hour drive next week, tugging the Bronco with the bus... Calling dealership in the AM to see if they can do this in the next week.
I did get that 22-PU1010-MIL-LT a couple weeks ago.
I also got a much larger update 22-PU0925-HAZ-FLH on Friday that also had no defintion, but now has one on the NHTSA site:
2021-2022MY Bronco (BCM)
22-PU0925-HAZ-FLH
Software Updates Have Been Made. A few small adjustments were made to...
FYI - I have been using a 7 pin Y connector today with those exact same wireless lights, and it works fine with the 2.7L.
I think I might've been the first (on here) to post about those lights. Glad they're working for others as well.
I got that same update last week. Honestly, unless I see something from Ford telling me that a speicifc update corrected the fuse pulling issue, I'm not risking flat towing without pulling fuses.
Same, and tht one is kind of what I was hoping existed for our OEM rack - That one doesn't look like it would work unless you want to drill into the rails, and I'd rather have something that doesn't require modifications
Others have had "Hood Open" dashboard errors that were a result of the electronic button not being adjusted appropriately. This could cause what you are describing, from the alarm going on perspective.
I've been looking for side racks (over side rear window on hard top) that mount to OEM roof rack. Is there such a thing? It seems there's only options to mount another rack on top of the OEM rack.
I'm trying so hard to still get into those 6' 6" parking garages and still use the thing for what...
Thank you. That's the same text as 22-2210, so if it supercedes it, it is identical to the original, stating expected resolution in Dec 2022.
Appreciate the lookup!
Any update to TSB 22-2210, for us flat towing people who have to jump thru massive hoops pulling fuses and putting the car to sleep in order to flat tow, when it was advertised to being able to do so?
When the TSB was issued, it was described as a temporary fix with and ETA of the real fix...
You can sideload it yourself: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/android-auto/android-auto-8-6-6250-release/
Didn't enable Coolwalk for me, but it is a required component.
Looks GREAT, @TexasDan !
Question about the sliders. I see they used you on their website for photos. They look great and cannot find much on this site about them. They claim to have a 12+ week backlog (not available currently).
How do they mount and how the heck did you manage to get a set...
Got 3.5.3 a couple weeks ago, and got the 4 arrow resize icon in Sync. After waiting for Google to push the OTA, but never did, Today I and did a sideload of the January update on my Pixel 7 Pro, then updated Android Auto to 8.6.625054-release and voila! Still exactly the same in car experience...
