Keep in mind we are talking about the base, least powerful version of the bronco. Rumor is multiple engine options... My assumption is that 270hp and over 300ft lbs is really good for a starting point
Maybe I'm alone here, but the 270hp/310ft-lb of the 2.3 ranger are good numbers for the entry level bronco. At least in my eyes. How many complaining about it have even test driven the ranger? It's peppy and strong.
It was more out of curiosity than anything. If I was to buy a Jeep, it would be from the 80s. Seeing how hard the manual is to find just has me a bit concerned about finding a manual bronco is all.
I guess my point is the take rate would be higher if people could find the dang things. It really annoys me when I hear that the manual version of a car was cancelled because it didn't sell. It doesn't sell because it's not even sitting on the lot. Hopefully Ford makes more than 1%, I would...
When I was truck shopping 2 years ago, I was looking at the Ram 3/4 tons for the sole reason that they offered a stick shift. Looking at the dealership websites, I only found 2 manuals on the lots in the entire state of AZ. Neither was close to a configuration I wanted. I settled on an...
One of the scariest things I ever did was take my 92 Toyota pickup up to around 90 mph. It honestly felt like it was about to bounce into the air and explode into pieces. I had an 05 WRX I took to 140ish and that felt relatively fine in comparison.
I have no intention of ever getting close to...
I think that for every person that is ready to buy a new car this year, there is another person not ready to buy until next year.
They may miss some of you on launch, but if the bronco is badass, they will get you back on your next purchase. If I was Ford, I wouldn't let some of these whiney...
Naw man, I agree. The cases I'm talking about are really rare. It is strange what they consider "essential business". In my town we have a huge Ruger plant and they are humming away still producing guns, along with all the gun stores. I'm certainly not arguing that liquor stores should be an...
I care about the strong possibility my business won't bounce back. What it means for my wife, 4 kids, employees and their families. I care about losing my home. All of this is a strong possibility for me, the stress will kill me before any virus. Tens of thousands are in my shoes.
But no, I...
The way everything shut down you would think we are dealing with a disease that kills half of it's victims, not 1-3% (of which most have pre existing conditions). It doesn't add up.
I keep hearing this argument with the bronco. If it isn't what we want, the aftermarket can make it so. How many people want to spend 40-60K on a vehicle then dump more into it? Yeah, striping is cheap, but I hear it about SFA, manual trans, and V8.
I'd think Ford would want the money from...
