  1. Everything Badlands: For Positive and VERY Excited future BL Owners!! Plan & Wait...

4 door Cyber Orange 2.7 Mid Tow MIC Think it strikes the balance I need as an everyday driver and doing moderate off roading and camping. Most of my planned mods, upgrades, and add-ons are relatively modest at this point -- rock sliders, roof rack, headliner/sound deadener, better speakers for...
  2. 2.7L, or 2.3L. Help me make the right decision.

Did enough research on both engines to come to the conclusion that both are good motors. The 2.3 has more than enough horsepower and torque to make it a good choice no matter the application. My mechanic runs the 2.3 in a Ranger, and he has had good things to say about it. Some of the early...

  5. Bronco Dealers: No-ADM, X-Plans & Special Discounts Master List

I have it in writing (email) from Star Ford in Glendale, CA that they will honor X-plan with no dealer markups. The persons handling Bronco orders there are Caitlynn and Patsy.

  7. How to handle this off-road situation?

Basically why I typically had a bag of coarse sand or a container of cat litter in the trunk or the truck bed back when I routinely drove on snow. Shoveling dirt/rock works too, but (as you note) takes time.
  8. Mustang Club of America X-plan rules changing...(Still NOT for Bronco)

I'm doing the same. Was told by MCA that I'd get an invoice for the $10 cost to upgrade from Associate to Digital, but "due to a substantial increase in emails related to X-Plan benefits, please allow 3-4 days for a reply as I am only one person." LOL The poor lady is probably wondering WTH...
  9. Mustang Club of America X-plan rules changing...(Still NOT for Bronco)

I'm late to the party. So how does the whole "generating a PIN" thing work? I joined MCA in January and received a membership number at that time. I previously tried inputting that number at the X-Plan website, and got a message saying the # was invalid. I assumed that it was because I was...
  10. Black Diamond v. Badlands

Yeah, as you note, the 2.7 and auto trans aren't standard on the BL, unfortunately. If they were, that would have made my decision for me.
  11. Black Diamond v. Badlands

Going back and forth between a BD and a Badlands no Squatch. The way I've got them built, it's a little over a $5K difference. This will be my daily driver, and I don't really plan on doing heavy rock crawling or other hardcore offroading. My offroading will primarily consist of moderate...
  12. Why is BL vs SQ suspension still a mystery???

That doesn't seem right. 20 mm is only about .8 inches.
  13. Why is BL vs SQ suspension still a mystery???

Thanks. So . . . it should be 10.6" assuming that the 11.6" figure for squatched BL is correct.
  14. Why is BL vs SQ suspension still a mystery???

Speaking of BL non-squatched . . . anyone have a # (or at least an estimate) as to ground clearance? The only ground clearance # I've seen for BL is with the sasquatch package. TIA
  15. Bronco Dealers: No-ADM, X-Plans & Special Discounts Master List

FYI, your chart indicates that Bob Wondries Ford of Alhambra, CA is charging ADM. I was told in an email by one of their sales reps that they are charging only MSRP. I took this to mean no dealer markup, but I would advise anyone doing business with Bob Wondries to specifically confirm that...
