Im sort of impressed with all the delays and such that the november orders are on schedule still. Im in nov 29th, but when I originally got that week, I fully expected they would eventually defer me.
I wanted a convertible, but needed something more practical than a sports car, room for 4 adult passengers, a decent cargo area, and drivable in the winter.
And that list reduced to the wrangler, which had a terrible reputation (and well deserved) for aweful on road manners.
bronco gave me an...
it mentions shift calibration, would this step on any of the drivemodes?
Is it surprising that an aftermarket tuner could do a better calibration than the OEM? No experience with these things though.
I am guessing a 1 off concept for SEMA?
doesnt look like a promo for the everglade, and it would say if it were associated with raptor at all. and I dont see them teasing ANOTHER special production variant yet.
looks like it could be in the vein of the bronco R we saw a while ago.
some bits like to grab on the way through and use that as leverage to just plow on through.
though I could understand a dent, but going THROUGH the outer skin is really impressive.
so when my email first came, Im pretty sure the link said it was scheduled to a day.
Now it says the order is in the system and will be scheduled to a production week...
Is that normal? will it get delayed?
Im ok if it gets delayed... Id rather have a 22MY 2 weeks later if its all the same...
could probably use a rigid U hook to just capture, but it appears this one uses fabric and a fastener.
Personally, I dont really need it to move around, so Ill just attach it to the ceiling. hoist it straight up and let it stay there. have to see if the dimensions work... need enough ceiling...
FWIW, ford cant straight up tell dealers what to charge. thats the S in MSRP. it gets into collusion and price fixing if you compel independent resellers from setting their own pricing.
of course this is to prevent collusion for higher prices, but it applies the other way too.
Its a legal...
the vin would have to change, as they are coded to a model year. but thats geography. your position in the queue wont change, if theres 2000 cars between you and your build right now, theres still 2000 cars, just means it takes an extra week or 2 to get through them.
they will roll into 22's the next day.
think of it this way, for the difference of a week or 2, your car is 1 full year newer when it comes time to sell it.
others have been delayed, and there seems to be no absolute reason that could not happen to units that would get shifted beyond the model year threshold. supply shortages have been popping up all over the industry and ford cannot possibly predict them.
No one knows if you'll get built that...
best to just buff it out. if you just knock down the edges, it typically fades out of view. the visible scratch are the rough edges more than the scratch itself.
if you absolutely feel compelled to fill it, pick up a touch up pen from walmart. should wick in nicely then polish.
