@MontyMoose I took the mannequin from Preferred for a nice long drive as its almost exactly what I'm getting other than color, lux package, and motor. I originally had my order with them and then they went and placed it without talking to me and wouldn't come of MSRP, plus they didn't know...
Thanks so much for all the work and info on this! It helped me make my decision to go OBX and put on some 275/70R18 on the stock wheels right out of the gate. Thinking Pirelli Scorpion AT Plus with a buddy of mine vouching for them and the great reviews. Mostly looking for good on road tire that...
Agreed. Love the color contrast. I love the idea of the MGV but wish it looked like the white and gray with red stitched promo one. I love the blue accents on tge roast interior with my Velocity blue exterior. Looks more custom that way.
Very nice looking. Thanks. The Greens have it! Aspen Green on mine. Feels like cheating to go to the copycat Ford but closest and best option we have. That and its just revives the love of the oldies and originals.
You're welcome! At this point, I am planning on the Pirelli Scorpion AT Plus in 285/75/R18s on stock wheels. Look like a great combo of all terrain and drivability on road. I am pretty sure they will fit based on some other forum talk and love the ratings for snow, road, and off driving. I'm...
Sounds like me. There is the what I think I will do with the Bronco:
And what will actually happen:
Ok, not really but reality came into play. It will mostly be 2 tracks and some northern Michigan hills and trails. And probably Silver Lake once a year or so. Realistically any Bronco will do...
I see you have quite the classic collection too. I'm not saying I wouldn't be happy. I guess I already have an old slow 4x4 so am looking for the opposite. That probably played a roll in my 2.7L auto choice.
HaHa. So true. I rent one once a month just for fun. I guess technically I haven't driven a bread truck but have driven many a box truck with various goods inside. I did some Lowes deliveries for awhile so I suppose that's my reference.
I would agree it shouldn't. I don't know if the auto just does a good job of keeping it in the right power band or I was skewed from the 2.7 driven before it. I also only got a short drive with the 7spd and quite honestly, have never driven a stick with a turbo before so I may have been a slight...
Agreed. I could have been skewed after driving the 2.7 first. It wasn't deathly slow. I was just hoping for more. Probably similar to the Wrangler w/ stick too. The dealer I am working with had a salesman that has a 2.3l manual and after talking with him, he said its find around town and he is...
I haven't. Just MGV and leather. I went to a dealer showing a while back and both had leather. I was hoping to try the cloth too. I agree and felt the MGV was more taut and didn't allow you in as much. Might change as it breaks in. The MGV was another reason I was looking heavy at the BL. When...
Agreed! I switched a few things such as top and hitch to try and get it a bit sooner. I wasn't sure which top I wanted so this will give me time to figure it out and let them work out the bugs. No idea on my build so we'll see.
That was my original plan but not sure I would want it now after driving it. Again, mainly for daily driving, added auto options for me and wrangling 2 kids so I had a few reasons pushing me Auto anyway.
