Maybe Sasquatch..Maybe not. I'm not sure yet.
Cast my vote for 2.7 low end no squatch. Currently thinking my best course of action is a stock Big Bend, V6/Auto, Mid Package and throwing some 33s on it ASAP.
I've also considered a stock OBX in order to have access to the High Package and whatever the hell the high-level instrument panel is...
It depends on which trim I go with.
If I go with a Black Diamond I'll remain with the stock steelies and go to 33s once the original tires need to be replaced. Same with the Big Bend, stock wheels and 33s once the originals wear down.
If I go for a Stock OBX that thing will be getting 17s and...
Thank you for these excellent photos! The Black Diamond is definitely going to be my rig. Even as a 4-door it looks damned good non-squatched.
I'm also really liking these General Grabber ATX tires the more I see of them. I think those will definitely be going on my 4Runner as well once it arrives.
I canceled my reservation, but, I'm sticking around since I still fully intend to purchase a Bronco. I'm just opting to wait until '22-'23. I may even place another reservation since it should hopefully guarantee a '22MY by this point.
Ended up letting go of my 7/24 reservation and ordered a '21 4Runner TRD Off Road Premium. I've always been a fan of those vehicles, and the TRD ORP checked damn near every box for what I'm looking for.
I really like the look of the current 4Runner, personally. Hell, I jumped ship and ordered a '21 TRD Off Road Premium. *laughs*
I am definitely interested in seeing what they come up with for the '23 model though. Looking forward to what the 6th gen will bring.
Shit like this is why I canceled my reservation and will either place another late reservation, or just check out the Bronco in '22/'23. Ford might actually have something to show by then.
I don't hate the OBX per se, I just hate the 18s and the painted Flares on the stock model. Squatch it, and it becomes a damned fine looking beast. That's just me though, and I'm certainly not going to denigrate anyone who likes and is buying a stock OBX.
If I do end up keeping my reservation. Then I think I've come back around to sticking with my reserved Black Diamond. I've decided that I can live without the high package, and have almost talked myself out of the Sasquatch package now.
I'm looking at a Velocity Blue 4 door Black Diamond 2.7...
