Did you just do a speaker swap, no change to the amp? Also what is you "typical listening volume"?

How long did you own the speaker before it blew? I saw its still under warranty, so within 60 days? I ask because I want to purchase speakers for a swap but am hesitant to do the swap if there is a chance to blow speakers when listening to near max volume.

That's odd to hear it blew, I thought Ford headunit/radio/DSP has crossover which prevents certain frequencies from hitting that speaker? I plan to listen to my music at at least 20 if not more, so it worries me two different speaker brands have blown in the B&O audio setup...does Crutchfield...

I don't care what people say, you can totally hear the clarity with the new speakers even with the compression! What type of music do you listen to and at what volume? I'm debating to go with those Hertz or get the Kicker KS series, but leaving stock amp/DSP means I might want to do you like...

Winter is finally hitting Detroit so I won't be doing anything until it warms up. And did you use the same stock sub enclosure on the side of the trunk when you upgraded your sub?
