  1. B&O blew a Kicker 46CSC44 4"

I’m kinda in the same boat, I plan to swap speakers and plan to listen at Max volume during summer months. Why isn’t there a cleaner way to just “swap speakers with these ratings”? Installing additional amps require so much more money even if installing it yourself, might not be worth it. Maybe...
  2. B&O blew a Kicker 46CSC44 4"

Did you just do a speaker swap, no change to the amp? Also what is you "typical listening volume"?
  3. B&O blew a Kicker 46CSC44 4"

How long did you own the speaker before it blew? I saw its still under warranty, so within 60 days? I ask because I want to purchase speakers for a swap but am hesitant to do the swap if there is a chance to blow speakers when listening to near max volume.
  4. B&O blew a Kicker 46CSC44 4"

That's odd to hear it blew, I thought Ford headunit/radio/DSP has crossover which prevents certain frequencies from hitting that speaker? I plan to listen to my music at at least 20 if not more, so it worries me two different speaker brands have blown in the B&O audio setup...does Crutchfield...
  5. Stinger Phoenix Gold Tailgate Sub Box In Stock

Question for this kit, when they eventually get back in stock, will it ship will all necessary wiring to plug into the DSP/use existing connectors that went to stock amp? Also do I need to supply my own power wire to the battery? It's a bit difficult to confirm what ships with "package C" from...
  6. B&O System - Looking to Upgrade

I don't care what people say, you can totally hear the clarity with the new speakers even with the compression! What type of music do you listen to and at what volume? I'm debating to go with those Hertz or get the Kicker KS series, but leaving stock amp/DSP means I might want to do you like...
  7. B&O blew a Kicker 46CSC44 4"

Also, with your replacement have you noticed any issues with clipping/destroying your speaker? Or have you stopped listening to music at high volume?

  9. B&O blew a Kicker 46CSC44 4"

So what is your recommendation to prevent this clipping when using the stock amplifier?
  10. Upgrading B&O audio system, starting by reasoning through factory specs

Winter is finally hitting Detroit so I won't be doing anything until it warms up. And did you use the same stock sub enclosure on the side of the trunk when you upgraded your sub?
  11. Upgrading B&O audio system, starting by reasoning through factory specs

All great information, thank you so much!! I've been reading up on other posts and once winter ends I plan to do the same, install Kicker Key 500.1 and install a sub in the same B&O enclosure. One final question, if you drive with the roof/doors off do you notice the sub sounds louder/better...
  12. Upgrading B&O audio system, starting by reasoning through factory specs

I like your line of thinking!! One question this leaves me, if you were to say, "unplug" the sub and instead wire it to an auxiliary amp does that mean the "unused headroom" of the B&O amp can be utilized by the other speakers wired to the B&O amp? Or does the B&O amp not have the smarts to...
  13. Subwoofer & Amp Install in B&O System (OuterBanks/LUX/Sasq/B&O/4dr) - Writeup DIY

Do you often drive with the top/doors off? If yes, do you still notice an improved bass and sound from other speakers? I ask because my use case is driving with everything off and still want to feel the base and hear loud sound. My 2016 Mustang has the Shaker audio upgrade and the bass sounds...
