I could see some different options available. A cheap ragtop, a less cheap hard shell, and an expensive push button convertible type thing.... You know, like Jeep. Based on different patents, I think Ford got creative in this area.

I cant imagine many people wanting to weld on the body, especially if it's aluminum. Not like there will be rust to fix. Hopefully the panels are easy to remove and replace...
At this point it seems to be pointless to hope for. If we want that, plan to a add a few thousand to the overall cost of the bronco and hope it doesn't mess up your warranty. Definitely things I will consider when cross shopping with Jeep.
I agree. Most SUVs are simply tall cars. The bronco has been seen with 35 inch tires. It's body on frame. Interior shots have shown front, rear, and center lockers. My question was what makes you think the new bronco doesn't fit in with your definition of what an SUV is? You seem salty...
Go to the website and option one out. It gets over 20k really quick. But, I have really considered it. Very easy to street legal it here in az. It's just a bit too basic and slow for the money in my opinion.
