  1. Homebrew hoist to help removing and installing doors by yourself.

There is 4” of thread imbedded directly into the header. I evaluate framing for a living, I’m very confident it’s strong enough. (I also checked it with my full weight.)
  2. Door Storage Bags and Harness

If you have any empty luggage, put the bags inside. Maybe on a closet floor in the back corner, inside a bathroom vanity cabinet, in a trash bag on your patio. Just some ideas that popped in to my head. I keep mine on a shelf in a closet.
  3. De-complicating Audio in the Bronco

I am considering the JL 10TW3 with the enclosure these folks sell. https://additivecaraudio.com/product-category/bronco6g/ There are cheaper options involving modifying the factory enclosure. Lots of posts about it.
  4. Contemplating an extended warranty…

I decided to put the money into a much needed audio system upgrade instead of the warranty. Time will tell if I have made a mistake.
  5. Homebrew hoist to help removing and installing doors by yourself.

I don't have help when I take my doors on and off so I came up with a simple method to make it easier. Basically, it's just a block and tackle hung to the door bag handles. Very easy to get the doors off. Getting the doors back on is tricky, but much easier than just dead lifting by yourself.
  6. Ceracote Trim Restorer on Hardtop?

DON'T DO IT. Ruined my fender flares, I had to replace them. I almost put it on my MIC top, I'm so thankful I didn't. Lots of people have used it with no problems, but it's a very unforgiving product. If you look around on the internet you will see ton's of posts about white streaking that...
  7. De-complicating Audio in the Bronco

This is a great post. I have a friend who considers himself a expert on car audio and he's roasting me over what I'm about to spend. I copied this to him, maybe I'll get a little respect now.
  8. Questions about speaker upgrade. (Yet another speaker thread.)

After further research, and some input from Fraser, I think I'm going to go with Morel instead. Morel Tempo Ultra 402 in the dash corners and possibly the rears. Morel Tempo Ultra 602 in the kick panels and also possibly the rears. Leave the center alone for now. If someone want's to split a...
  9. Bronco Down! Rear Ended While Parked in Driveway, Rear Frame Damaged - She's Totaled

I think the frame is actually three sections. When I crashed mine, the insurance company was initially going to replace the frame. I had major damage including airbags deployed. They did everything they could NOT to total it. When the shop started tearing it down, they found damage that couldn't...
  10. Questions about speaker upgrade. (Yet another speaker thread.)

I would like opinions and I have questions. I'm ready to upgrade my B&O audio system. I have been watching the threads for two years and I think I know what I want. Evan after scouring all the threads I still have a few questions. Speaker selection is what I'm struggling with, there are so many...
  11. Discount Tire Turned Me Down

A few of the things I have heard at Discount tire. "Your tire is five years old, we are not allowed to touch it." "Your (full sized trailer) tire already has two patches, The blah blah tire standards will not permit us to install a third patch. Sorry, we don't have a replacement either." "We...
  12. Went old school

White retro side panels would look great with those wheels. https://www.undergroundgraphics.com/products/bronco-retro-side-panels?srsltid=AfmBOorM2XFY5ybekCQb5ElBQq1mOiK1YxE8LIjR9vw8umjZRK39ddu0
  13. Transfer case destroyed in snow/warranty fix denied.

Some of the Ford techs are real Cartman's looking to assert their power. My daily driver is a F150 work truck managed by Element fleet. It's completely "free" to me. It had a coolant leak that was determined to be a bad water pump (40,000 miles.) They denied to fix it under warranty because the...
  14. Thoughts on half roof racks for hard top

Middle panel roof storage seems to be a common application. Would be nice if someone came up with a accessory to the rack to easily secure it without having to strap or tie it down. Could possibly 3d print something?
  15. Thoughts on half roof racks for hard top

I have been considering a half rack mostly to provide a anchor point to hang the top from my garage ceiling. My concern is that this might damage the top being supported this way? Wind noise? Also, the carrying capacity of the OEM rack is very limited and it's partially supported by the front A...
  16. OEM roof rack damaged weatherstripping

I found a picture of a used one for sale on eBay, and it has the cuts. No luck finding another photo. Now I'm thinking it's supposed to look like that?
  17. OEM roof rack damaged weatherstripping

Anybody else had this problem? Debating on a warranty claim. Concerned it will get worse with time if I don’t get it fixed.
  18. 2.3L 7sp badlands engine stopped on freeway

I believe I read that the NTSB is looking at possibly mandating a recall for this specific issue. You need to report it to them to aid in their decision.
  19. Floor mats flapping in the wind

I tried Velcro, wouldn't stick to the mats. Find something heavy to set in back and hold them down. A cooler works great.
  20. Using non-detergent gasoline and future regrets.

After all the posts about the quality, I got a Costco Membership. It didn't take much arm twisting. Honestly, my biggest hesitation about shopping there is the fact that the parking lot is always so packed, I worry about door dings. I normally park way out nowhere near other cars. Hard to do...
