I've had much different experiences with my Wranglers. I've owned 3 JKs and I've been able to get the doors on at least as smooth as they did in this video. I was actually hoping things would have gone smoother in the video to show that it was much easier.
Maybe it being a pre production model...
Where I live, north of Detroit, I'd prefer to drive an American car. Back in the late 2000's, when the economy was crappy and the Big 3 were having all kinds of problems I had an Audi A4 and a Honda Ridgeline for a bit. I got dirty looks and yelled at by other drivers on the road for driving...
Having owned many Wranglers, I would never consider removing my doors or hard top panels away from home. I would be concerned about not only damage, but unless you're with your vehicle 100% of the time from the time you take them off until you put them back on, they would be at risk of being...
Not a bad solution. $750 (RollnJack) for something that quick and easy. I installed a hoist system based off a storage rack I got on Amazon for my JKU. It was cheaper but no where near as convenient and installation took some time.
A lot of cars share similar characteristics. There is only so much you can do when it comes to designing a vehicle.
The people who have a problem with the Bronco looking even remotely similar are jealous and/or feel threatened by the success of the Bronco.
I agree completely, it's pretty expensive. A year or so ago I kicked around the idea of upgrading my '16 JKU so I could get that but once I saw the price tag I decide to add the Bestop Sunrider for hard top. Since there was talk of something similar to that Bestop for the Bronco I think that is...
It doesn't sound like it's going to be a huge difference from the way Jeep does it. You've got the donut and Ford may be adding the ability to remove one or more of the back windows. Jeep allows the removal of the rear side windows on their Sky One Touch top. I'd like that top more if the rear...
Yeah, we're getting information from different sources. The quote referenced didn't say modular. It only said a removable panel over the rear, which I'd guess is the donut hole.
Maybe modular to Ford means the roof isn't 1 big thing, like on a TJ. It's more like the panels on a JK or JL...?
Aside from the donut hole (what I'm calling the hole we can see in the colorizer) it's operates like a Wrangler hard top, as far as the 2 door goes, right?
With the 4 door there are panels above the rear seats also...?
If you have any questions about the mortgage industry feel free to reach out. I've been in the industry since around '96. I've been primarily focused on IT in the industry the last 20 years and currently work for a large financial institution in Michigan.
So the statements made above:
Seats are removable
Seats can be folded flat
Seats once removed create a flat surface
Are they guesses or are they known for a fact? What evidence is there that any statement is true for the 2 door?
I haven't seen Ford say they are removable. I haven't see Ford...
I'm hoping I can add some options to the BD that are in the Lux pkg, like the B&O stereo and the heated steering wheel. I was considering the WildTrak but I don't feel comfortable paying for options I don't necessarily want. The BD is going to have the off road capabilities I want and then some...
