I swear our brains share the same wave length. Both of our original Broncos are Doetsch / SEMA builds and I too have been shopping BRaptors lately.
As far as the RSE steps, I installed them on my wifes Bronco and it took about half a day. It is not that big of task to tackle. I would take...
also better steering rack, beefier tie-rods, wider axle, bigger tires, different bolt pattern, better suspension, reinforced tail gate, better dash, better seats, performance exhaust, reinforced frame, paddle shifters, increased towing, and a bunch of other stuff I probably forgot.
And as far...
Wrapped mine myself about 3-years ago. Watched a lot of YouTube and was sure to buy extra material. Took about 2 weekends, some trial and error and a few blistered fingers but got the job done and I am proud of the way it turned out. The concave corners above and below the headlights and...
Your best bet is to rig up a hoist to your garage ceiling if possible. I have removed my soft top a few times and, warning, it is unbalanced and awkward to handle.
This. Reading some of these posts you would think people are swapping out starters at every oil change. I can't remember the last time I did as well but it was probably on some 80's beater car.
Lol, when I first saw the pic it screamed SoFlo Jeeps/Broncos/Customparts/Whatever, thus my Florida pine tree comment. Not surprised it actually turned out to be one, albeit, a long way from its home.
That sure is a lot of pine trees for Florida.
As far as the shackles, those look to be either a locking or a permanent mount type. *Puts flame suit on* I understand people mock leaving shackles on, but IMHO, these particular types are no different then a permanent tow hook, or the ones found...
Yes, that is a 1" spacer on the rear hub.
Interestingly enough, the front studs are about a 1/4" shorter than the rear (at least on my 2021 BL), so front clearance should not be an issue.
I just took a quick look at my wife's Bronco and if you were to run a riser directly from the trail sights to the loop in question it will rub on the windshield frame and inner rack mount. You would need to fabricate a bracket to raise the mounting point on the trail sights. Or, and better...
As we just celebrated our independence, I figured I would point this out:
Gray = correct and preferred spelling here in the great USA
Grey = incorrect and how those redcoat Brits and other non-freedom loving countries spell it
If you want a "collector" Bronco, look for a Heritage Limited and not just a Heritage. But I doubt even the HE-L's will hold significant value down the road. Also, depreciating assets don't make good investments.
