The manufacturer and the installer are playing games pointing the finger at each other and neither is helping the OP when clearly something is messed up.
Somewhere there is a thread about this and they were not. You'll need to search for it (use google adding site:Bronco6g.com after your search terms) but IIRC they swapped left for right and cut down one shaft or something similarly. But please look it up as my memory is fuzzy on it.
Good stuff, except the Bronco has a removable roof. UHF might be able to get away with an inside mount to the roll cage.
I currently have a 1/2 wavelength antenna for a 200 watt VHF FM radio (just kidding) Rugged Radios 1/4 wavelength UHF antenna tuned for GMRS on their mount and so far no...
The workmanship is impeccable. But not even a rear locker. Looks great if you are into that look, but performance on and off road has been sacrificed a lot for those looks. Off-road hill climbs might be the worst with the lack of a rear locker and the high center of gravity shift of weight to...
They would be a good fit for someone with the same model/engine who wanted to go to Bilstein 5100's as they could preassemble the Bilsteins and speed up the actual swap. Throw your engine in the description as well as that they came from a four door.
Maybe the toughest spot for me at the trail ride at the Wisconsin 2023 Supercelerbration. The Wisconsin Coalition of the Four Wheel Drives hosted and provided outstanding spotters. At this point a stock BD 4 door. I didn't want to drag my skid plates so much in the future so the BD is now...
Well if the company is both good and honest, first they pen (CAD?) a design, then prototype it and then test it. If the results aren't good enough to sell enough at a profit they aren't going to make it. They will keep their results secret because they have competitors.
What size tires are you running? What kind of off-roading were you doing? Were your front tires spinning wildly and finally gained traction?
At any rate you could swap in an M210 from Ford Performance for WELL under $4500, but, unless you are bigger than 33's or were really abusing the front I...
I have the Kicker 6.5 with the Fusion amp along with Polk DB4 speakers and I'm at the acceptable range of sound (which is a huge improvement over crappy sound). My next step is Memphis MJP6 in the kick panels along with an amp, but that needs to wait as my budget went to a Rugged Radios...
The Grabbers (albeit in 265/70-17 for me) are the best non-dedicated winter tires I have ever driven in the winter, even better than a set of Hankook iPike's I used to have on my Xterra. Not as good as Blizzaks or Hakkapeliittas, but good enough I will run them one more winter (I have 285/70-17...
I would say not with traction control disabled. I have never felt the ABS cycle off-road in 4 low when I have lost traction. (Maybe this is an intentional error on Ford's part to push people to Sasquatch or the FP M210.)
No disagreement with anything you posted except this. They are not stiff. They are firmer. over small bumps but softer than stock elsewhere. They eliminate the harsh ride of the Hitachis on bad roads. They also give far greater stability on corner turn in and while cornering on a bumpy road..
The Baja Boss AT is SLIGHTLY quieter than the Grabber ATx. Edit: But the Marine Corps wrecked my hearing, especially in my left ear, so I might not be the best source for a comparison.
Yes, a true Heritage Edition would come with 29" tires, drum brakes, 3 on the tree, manual steering and vacuum wipers!
Still, I wish I hadn't sold my rust bucket '67 35 years ago.
Got these in 285/70 17 from your Waukesha, WI store. Went with SL based on MT's recommendation for 4-5 trail rides per year (go SL, save gas, get better acceleration, but carry a spare and buy tire certificates). They are great. Saving my 265/70-17's as they are great winter tires and have at...
