I went out in the garage and remembered all the recovery stuff/jacks/etc I have ordered to use with the Bronco and now I will probably hang in there even if it means 2022.
I did not place my reservation until 7/24. If it turns out I would not get a Bronco until 2022 then I will for sure bail. I will see what the dealer says. Never owned a Ford and if they screw this up then I never will. Not angry, but just stating a fact.
I hate rain sensing wipers. I live in the Pacific Northwest where we have all types of rain:) The auto sensors never get the timing right, at least not in our Lexus RX450h or the 2017 Porsche 911. I love the Subaru Crosstrek because it has a nice little knob where you can manual control the...
I have a small bike trailer that I bought years ago called "Trailer in a Bag" and used it for years towing sport bikes to track days. The supplied fenders quickly broke so have used it without fenders. It takes time to put together and I don't have space to store a normal bike trailer. The MX...
Plus one for the MX hauler. I have a class III hitch on my Subaru Crosstrek and carry a Husky 501s. It is way over the tongue weight rating for the Subaru but so far has been OK. I think the MX hauler is around 50lbs and my Husky is around 300 so 350 total is the tongue weight limit for the...
I am hopefully buying a 1st generation Bronco to drive off road a lot, so by the time I sell it the car will be well worn. No thoughts of collectible value. Also in, say 30 years, if I am lucky I will be 94...!
There's this hill in the Stampede Pass area that has an incredible view of Mt. Rainier. One of many, but I found this spot on my motorcycle last summer. Must go there in the Bronco if the roads are still passable. With the Bronco I can take my good heavy camera and get some great shots. These...
Completely understand. Also yesterday I went to buy groceries and saw the most badass Jeep in the parking lot I have ever seen. 2dr very lifted with big tires and some very cool looking wheels. Jeeps rock too!
I am trading in my 2020 Subaru Crosstrek and the late arrival of the Bronco is going to cost me probably 1-2 thousand. I need the car so will not sell it sooner. That's life I guess. No way I can see a dealer committing to a trade-in price at time of order. That's the one big disadvantage...
I am adding the roof rails and adding the Yakima x-large basket as I may have to keep the spare tire up there sometimes depending on what I am hauling with a hitch rack on the back of the Bronco. Won't know for sure until I actually test out my setups.
More protection than no door but you could still get stabbed by an errant tree branch or similar. I think I will just stick with either doors or no doors and wonder if I will ever go no doors.
Thanks for those pics! I got that feed on my facebook page but the pics were behind the Bronco Nation firewall. I will still go with the Ford product mainly because I am too lazy to install aftermarket myself. If eventually the Ford stuff starts to degrade then there should be many...
I watched all those "The Fast Lane Car" youtube videos of the problems they had with their new Defenders and that kind of put me off. Probably most defenders are fine and of course we know nothing about how reliable the Bronco will be. Good luck if you purchase a Defender. Hope you get a...
Pretty usual for me. Online browsing Jeep, Toyota, and Defender. Don't want a truck. Toyota can be tempting but kind of older tech. Jeep tempting but even buying a new special order would still need aftermarket to compete with my Bronco spec. Defender 110 too big for me and Defender 90 gets...
Sounds kind of bizarre and bureaucratic. Does not seem to be an issue with my 2dr build. I have sound deadening, 2.7, and sasquatch, and am also able to add the roof racks with an x-large Yakima basket.
