Width is a concern, too. There are forest trails on my family's property where an extra 2 inches wider means you aren't going any farther (at least not without either cutting down a 100+ year old tree and/or dynamiting a cliff).
Sasquatch's primary function is so Ford can claim better...
I can only assume you leave your home HVAC fans 'ON' 100% of the time? You wouldn't dare use 'AUTO', because it's the SAME DAMN THING AS VEHICLE START/STOP.
It's not a 'green' thing, I just don't see any reason to piss away money/range at stoplights if I don't have to. And I don't buy the 'it...
Every recent/current manual transmission vehicle with stop/start works the same way:
-If clutch is engaged, engine continues to idle
-If in neutral AND clutch disengaged AND engine oil is warm AND HVAC/accessory load is low, the engine will shut off
-Engaging the clutch will restart the engine...
Marketing 101; solely go after the 'young adult' demographic, and you still effectively reach everyone. Because everyone is either young, wishes they were young, or are young at heart.
I had a stripped BMW 320i (manual transmission w/ sport package and xenons, and that's about it) that cost less than a Honda CR-V to lease, but I got endless crap about that car ("Oooh, look at Mr. Fancy Pants and his BMW"-type stuff). A loaded Rubicon, or any of the top 3 trims of the F150 cost...
That 'white' interior is pretty clearly cloth, which is standard on several trims.
I do hope there is a grey vinyl option, though. White? Nope. My wife had a 'Saabaru' with white leather seat inserts, and no matter how much you cleaned/protected them, they became a discolored splotchy mess...
Just use an oil extractor. Takes maybe 10 minutes to replace the oil/filter, no jacks/lift, no drain pan to mess with, no skid plates to remove, no crush washer to replace.
The bias against extractors seems to hinge on folks forgetting that there is a FILTER between the oil pan and the oil...
Every new passenger vehicle sold in the U.S. in the past 8 years has some form of brake-based traction control. Not all of the systems as implemented on 4x4s work/work well in 4Lo, so there is some minor differentiation among models. But Toyota calling their brake-based traction control system...
A more reasonable request would probably be to add port injection to the 2.3L. Although, be careful what you wish for; Toyota's V6 became even less responsive once they added direct+port injection. More fuel injection wizardry=more chances a computer will ignore your inputs and do something else...
Considering that a stripped R1S probably compares most closely with a V6+auto Badlands, and considering the EV tax credit, I bet the price difference will be closer than you think. The Rivian will get expensive if you add features that aren't even available on the Bronco (autonomous driving...
I've got a scoped 12" AR pistol in 6.5 Grendel that nearly fits under the seat in a compact car with the brace collapsed, not that I've ever transported it that way. That'll expand JHP rounds out to at least 300 yards and stay supersonic out to ~800 yards. I'm having a hard time envisioning any...
I'm still waiting for the cybertruck to be revealed as an elaborate April Fool's Day prank. No one was asking for a pickup that looks like a giant DeLorean. Can't deny the the tech, but woof.
I have reservations for both a R1S and a Badlands Bronco; basically hedging my bets in case one of the two totally drops the ball. They each have their own pros/cons:
Bronco:
-Probably one of the last new manual transmission 4x4s, and I'm not sure I'm ready to give up my stick
-Removable roof...
