Got a comercial welder to lengthen the mounting brackets. Here was my mock up, basically puting the bottom bolt in to the top hole. Mine sits so the bottom of the 'plate' is darn close to the top of the bumper
I actually made a plywood template and mock up before I got the JCR plate to make...
Yup
It was before they modified it to not block the ACC. I modified it myself. Also have the prerunner bar, camera relocation. All of the stuff is great.
Shipped super protective , would definitely recomend.

Thanks for any information you can provide.
Welp, I guess I will be the guinea pig. Ordered.
Watch, they will come in before my skids!!! NVM said they are still waiting on some uhmw, so will see when that comes in.
@PEGB
Got a respomse from RCI. It encouraging.
Thanks for your interest in our products!
Most of the mounting holes for the slider are slotted, so you might have enough adjustment in the holes as is to accommodate your skids. If not and you need to drill new holes, there is plenty of edge...
If you order from FORD.COM now use code 'member20' for 20% off and pick up at dealer for no shipping its the cheapest price i could find. Waiting for mine to come in.
I sent an email to RCI to see what they say. You made a great point about maintenance that i did not think about. I was always thinking skid first to be flush to frame rail. Your idea makes sense BUT I can see having that gap on the skid for stuff to get in as well as will the skid even mount...
Speaker is in a great location, even for my bad ears!!
For the head unit to box i went down the A pillar. A little bit of a pain to fish but not to bad. If you get the instructions for the IAG lights...
Just a thought, I mounted my 2730a above the Visor,
used the m2m radio mount to put the box above glive box (had to modify a little but works great there)
mounted a speaker dead center under the sterring wheel.
Really liked how it turned out.
