Same thing just happened to me. Drove from San Diego to Tahoe washer fluid worked fine. Next morning after freezing night temps, washer fluid wouldn’t work. Tried refilling reservoir, no luck. Checked fuse and it was blown.
I’ve noticed this when playing music through Apple CarPlay. It happens sometimes after using Siri. To get full sound again, I just initiate Siri and cancel which usually does the trick.
I realize it’s a long shot, but if someone has taken delivery of a Bronco with the slide-out tailgate and has no use for it, I’d be interested in purchasing.
However, I’m not interested in paying the $3k price tag from the parts department.
I’m located in SD, but willing to travel to OC/LA/IE.
Welp, no surprise that the charge pipe didn’t fix the problem. And in the 2+ months of waiting, Ford apparently decided that the noise is “normal” and there’s nothing else to do.
Still waiting on the part. Latest update from the Ford "customer experience specialist" is that it is expected to be shipped by Wednesday of this week.....after they supposedly expedited the part over a month ago.
On the plus side, my family and I took the Bronco on a 2 week trip from Southern...
Dealer is still waiting on parts for mine. They claim that the charge pipe was installed incorrectly from the factory. Supposedly another week or two until the parts come in.
Will definitely let you know what happens with charge pipe.
I traded a manual 2017 Tacoma trd off road for the bronco. I would never go back to that truck.
That sucks they lost the part!
I knew they’d claim they “couldn’t reproduce the problem” so I made sure to take the service advisor for a ride to show him what conditions it happens in.
After a couple days I checked in with the service advisor, who said the technician couldn’t reproduce the...
@patchymanz did you ever figure this out?
I took mine to the dealer with the same complaint (also 2.3 manual). They’ve had it for 3 weeks and still haven’t figured it out.
First they tried replacing the waste gate sensor. That didn’t fix it. Now they’re going to replace the charge...
I’ve got this one:
https://www.1up-usa.com/product/60in-hitch-mounted-cargo-carrier/
Pros:
All aluminum
It’s a beast
No hitch extender needed
Built-in anti-wobble
Raised to reduce impact on ground clearance
Can add trays for two bikes (May exceed receiver capacity though)
Cons:
Can’t open...
Thanks!
These are the only other pics I have with the box on.
It’s great having all the extra space for bulky stuff like sleeping bags/pads/pillows. Surprisingly the box doesn’t impact fuel economy that much. And I barely know it’s there when driving.
Thanks!
That’s the Factory roof racks with Thule Motion XT XXL cargo box.
We averaged 19.1 mpg over ~1000 miles (per trip computer) from San Diego to Mammoth and back.
Badlands, manual transmission
