They are definitely out in the wild, no doubt about that! The release date is the mystery here and from what I'm understanding, there is no official launch date. If this, of course, changes we'll be sure to post up!

There are steel wheels available in wider width, however none of them are similar in design when compared to stock, think 8 hole style.

Thank you for confirming the wheels, Mike. LT285/65R-18's would be better suited on an 8.5-inch wide wheel, though it can be safely run on a 8-inch wide wheels. Your factory wheels are 7.5-inches wide so you may want to consider 265/70R-18 or 275/70R-18.
