Nice post, I can attest my wife and family are tired of hearing about it. Although I think they find it hilarious to ask If I have gotten it yet-they know. Tricks to keep the magic- get the first scratch or ding out of the way and don't worry about it. Don't let the kids even think about taking...
I have a set of MaxTrax and a set of knockoffs from amazon. Both work equally well, positive results. I have used both sets, relatively equal amounts. Snow, sand, rock trails etc... A gamble but save your money. To be fair there are really cheap ones that may be at best worthless and at worst...
Yeah I get it (waaaay more knowledgable about trims/options than I should be.) to me my choices are really badlands (my order) or BD. However, there are infinitely more dealer units out there in base and big bend trims. I'm just amazed that for the few dollars extra on the big bend units...
Curious... I have been scouring dealer websites across the country looking for any thing available that is not massively marked up. In doing so I have been mostly focusing on lower trim levels as opposed to the badlands I have on order. I have yet to see one unit at any dealer optioned with the...
yes I received a chrome set, 3M tape is separate, they seem high quality (metal) a little small. I ordered a larger 10” set in black chrome but have not received yet. Shipping takes a long time. Tough to say true quality. I left them in their package after brief inspection- can’t Look at all the...
Tru-Fuel and similar runs around $24/gal near me. Another option would be ethanol free fuel from the pump. "Maverick' gas stations and some others have it. I buy ethanol free for any tool, or vehicle that is going to sit for awhile. It usually runs similar to diesel/gal in price.

no VIN needed, log in to your ford account first. Then copy and paste the link but replace the "X's" with your 8 digit reservation/order number.
I check the backdoor order viewer on the Ford website at least every week and whenever any updates or rumors emerge. Today I noticed that my order updated for the first time since the October '21 reorder for '22. I still do not have a build date or VIN#. It finally accurately reflects my order...
Hey I wish we could all live in a utopia, where everyone gets exactly one bronco, in order, fair and so on. The reality is it makes sense to push initial ones to influencers, aftermarket companies, dealers, those with extra $$$$, and then the rest of us plebes.
Dangerous to hate or assume on...
The original F-150 2.7 did use silicone instead of a gasket and needed to be replaced (oil pan) entirely when it leaked. As it did often (one personal experience and heard of many others online and from the service tech.) As well, when replaced careful attention needed to be paid to application...
Thanks everyone for the input. I will likely not change-unless I'm doing a change for a '23 build. Even then still tough to give up the dream build. I have tried several different trims at events- they honestly are all great.
I may, my thought process here is to go between 2 extremes. A stripped badlands doesn't seem too different in price vs. the difference to a minimally optioned base. Doing this seems fairly wide. My build is MSRP ~$54K and the base build comes in just over $39K. Doing what you propose only drops...
I have agonized over switching my build. Help me out. As of the order banks closing 3/7 I was ~99 back on my dealers order list, most having similarly constraint heavy builds like me (they have been delivering ~10/month.) I think I started around 200 in line back when production started June...
Yeah they (King jack) are pricey- falls under toy category for me but maybe? I'm a sucker when I find a 20% off deal and impulse buy.
I'd stay away from the exhaust jacks with the exception of use on dunes or beaches. We have used those things at work (Fire Dept.) for years off compressed...
buy a decent tire repair kit (tons of off-roady ones out there) and use your compressor (you need one anyway.) I have fixed more flats then ever change them. I carry a few pry tools that can reset beads as well. There is also a company that has sidewall patch kit (haven't tried yet) just to get...
