Agreed. The hybrid or plug in hybrid is a great compromise and start off point for most people. Eliminates the main complaint/worry of infrastructure that most people have.
Exactly. I was skeptical of EVs until I drove a couple. We have a plug in hybrid and love it. Will I miss the rumble of a V8? Absolutely. That's the one thing that will never be better.
Exactly. Haters gonna hate. If you dont like it, dont buy one. Being a previous Mustang GT owner, I was pretty impressed and thought it did the nameplate justice. Better than previous "real" Mustangs. If it keeps the spirit of the Mustang and nameplate alive, I'm ok with it.
And as much as the Mach-E has and continues to piss off people for its name sell out, it outsells the gas Mustang and will probably continue to. I say if it helps subsidize the gas version for a few more years, I'm ok with it.
I had a conversation with someone pretty high up at VW about the new Scout. Turns out, it will be most likely be sharing a Bronco chassis and engineering. The Mustang Mach-E was co-developed with VW (the ID-4) and share components.
My understanding was it will be a Bronco chassis, Mach-E...
As a current Bronco owner, plug in hybrid owner and Scout 800 owner, I'm pretty excited about this. I agree, definitely looks they are channeling more Scout II in the design.
Hoping to make it but Bronco is in the shop for a rear main leak. Been there for 2 1/2 weeks waiting on parts. Not sure if I'll have it back by then. They broke a exhaust hanger getting it off and can't find one without replacing the entire exhaust per Ford. Waiting game......
Yes, I added the SkyJacker rear shock skids and they installed fine with no bumping. Only issue I had was one of the front bolts they included sheared when torqueing down. Install went pretty smooth overall...
Great time up north with everyone at Drummond Island. I'm still compiling video from a few places and phones but have a first version of a video edit with various clips and photos from the Drummond Island Weekend.
