I used the wire to tie backup lights into the aux switch. I did have to remove the rear cargo area floor and passenger side panel to get to the wire. It wasn't too bad to remove but I don't like pulling panels off, I always end up breaking the plastic clips.

I'd feel comfortable leaving it without the cover after adding some rubber boots to the ends of the wires to cover the exposed terminals.

They provided a test version of Forscan. All you have to do is attempt the change in forscan then email the log file with the error and they will send you an updated version. They sent it the next day for me.

I feel like the $10 it costs to get the extended license is more than fair for all the work Forscan does considering they give free licenses if you want. I'm sure the issue will be fixed in a future release if you would rather save the money and wait a little while.

I purchased the forscan extended license to get tech support from forscan and was able to enable sport mode on my 2022 Badlands.

I just added sport mode to my 2022 Badlands. I had to buy the extended forscan license. Send a trouble ticket to forscan, and they sent an updated version that fixed the problem.

I was thinking more the license plate itself getting bent, not the bracket but yes, removing before any off roading would minimize the issue.

This is nice other than no top mounting screws will leave the plate to bend down easy.
