Assuming a 1.00 final trans gear for easy math
4.7 with a 34.4 tall tire 2984 at 65 mph SaS
4.46 with 31.6 tall tire 3082 at 65 mph BD
4.27 with a 32 tire 2914 at 65 mph BB
I'd call that a wash
The BL 4.7 with the A/T 32.7 tire 3139 at 65 mph does look like the clear winner as far as ratio...
The real question is who wins between the the BB and BD
The BD gets you 4.46 but slightly taller tires and more weight
Not that I have thought about it
Getting the lowest gears you can for the 2.7 is a big factor in the stoplight grandprix
A base with a 3.73 and a v6 isnt going to beat a similar big bend with a 4.27
The only problem with being delayed is I see something shiny and start wanting that
Been focused on getting a old car moving on it's own here this winter and fighting the well if I get this then I need that
Reading thru this is kinda fun but in the end it's a choice not a versus
I'm just glad to have a choice and
of course I'm going with the better one
For me
Here's where I'm at ....
build a base SaS with V6 and throw in the mod bumper with brush bar a few small goodies tube doors and bimini for 41ish
Or Badlands with nothing take the MT and 2.3 for right around 43k

Back in the 80's I had to smog check my 65 gto in southern California
I laughed to myself then , that's all they cared about....... the thing could have been a death trap but pass smog and your good
Orders close on March 19th as far as I have heard
Maybe have to take a drive to see the one close to your build but glad to see progress
And if you can't wait go ahead and order on the first day .....you can change it up till it gets in the system for scheduling
Frank can I borrow that match book cover ? ....I can't find one in this day of disposable lighters
I have my old dual point out right now it's from the 80's and still rolling along
Seriously though the new Bronco at it's worse will be better than the old
On the other hand putting a limited slip in the open 4.46 rear will suit my driving needs
Now that 5k extra is saying lift , wheels , tires
After seeing a rapid red in the sun it will work just fine
I really hope they surprise me and equip the rear so that it can work in 2wd or at minimum 4h
A open rear pickup can't climb my gravel driveway unless in 4h
Raptor gets to have all the fun with their setup
To NC_Pinz you are saying these dont disengage at a set speed ?
I haven't seen where this is the case
The ones offered in the trucks claim to
I have seen where you can mod them to stay on
Only limited slip for me
I have to wonder how the these lockers are going to perform in certain conditions. Say climbing up a snow covered hill were tire speed is well above 20 mph are they going to kick in and out
Today it would be area 51 , it is a livable color
Have a red truck that stays and a grey car that stays so unless cyber orange just steals it I'm going to own a blue one
What's your favorite?
Walked around area 51 and cactus grey the other day
I agree area 51 is not baby blue by any strecth
As far as cactus grey , I now know what color my bathroom walls are
Carbonized grey was there too and definitely in the running
