It seems like FCA's strategy can be summed up like this:
"That thing got a Hemi?!"
When all else fails, throw more horsepower at it
There is an enthusiast group for every car as long as it has 500+ horsepower
Price to the customer is no object as long as we can say it's in our catalog
500+...
Unfortunately this is a result of Ford's rather poor launch strategy and also the inherent nature of sales.
Ford should have done a much better job of conducting launch training for dealers.
Dealerships can't sell vaporware. If it ain't in the catalog they can't sell it.
Combine these two...
What is your definition of “bad”?
Have you watched any of the Rubicon Trail or Moab videos?
This thing will be FAR from my definition of bad on slow stuff.
Yes they have and did publish the RTI ramp scores. It’s been out from the beginning. See “chassis” section:

My in-laws have a new JL with this exact interior. Initially, my reaction was the same as yours, that the JL interior seemed more refined and higher class and “Fancy”.
However, after spending some more time actually driving it and using it, I actually came to the conclusion that I really...
Also - only a matter of time before the “not enough articulation” haters show up but for me this is a great amount of articulation for a factory stock vehicle.
Skillful drivers with proper locker/sway disco equipment can really make this thing perform.
Love this footage! Nice to see something longer than 60seconds again lol.
I miss the days when we were regularly getting 5+ minute videos from the rubicon and Moab...
I would really like to see some more high speed thrashing and maybe a little airborne action!
Wow. Lots of pessimistic and prissy people in this thread. Although not a prerequisite, I question how many bronco owners will have a true sense of adventure and “wild” in them... Probably quite a minority.
I am 6’6” and have car camped in everything from a suburban, 2nd gen bronco, and...
This is nice and all but we REALLY need something in the Midwest...
Either Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Kansas, Indiana....
No Tennessee does not count as Midwest :D
Sorry this is not new news. It has always been this color since day 1 on B & P, and you can also go refer to the "materials walk through" put on by Bronconation and the designers.
The only thing that is in conflict is the armrest color - it is shown as black in B&P and in recent pictures...
Although still useful, this is somewhat disappointing to me then. I have seen in action offroad many times where using only the starter motor to move the vehicle ever so slightly is a powerful feature (with ignition disabled).
This would be a great aftermarket opportunity to use one of those...
This then begs an important question we don't have the answer to:
Does the "Crank-in-gear" feature allow the vehicle to start, or does it disengage the ignition? Or both?
Obviously being selectable for what you want to do would be best. I was making the assumption that to enable...
This would certainly be the obvious and underwhelming answer to what the feature means
Maybe it's me hoping for something a bit more elaborate and creative... ?
Was anyone else aware of these 2 interesting features available with the 7-speed manual?
Awesome!
I don't know what they do exactly but what I THINK they COULD be:
"Crank-in-Gear":
Ability to sit in Crawler gear (and maybe reverse?) with engine off, crank engine starter to creep...
