They do look tall, I gained nearly 2ā of ground clearance, as far as skinny I donāt think they look ridiculous. The Baja boss has such a wide āside biteā section where the tread meets the side wall for when youāre aired down that it gives the illusion of being wider. But on my stock steelies...
Iām running the MT Baja Boss in a 255/85r17. Stock ride BD, no rub, no bottoming out and I love running the pizza cutters. Canāt recommend them enough to people.
Thereās some good groups around the state. Check out the Mi Bronco Club Facebook page, some rides will get posted there (Iām one of the trail leads for the club), I also personally run the West Michigan Off Roading group on FB, we try to have at least one ride/get together a month. Where abouts...
Iād be interested since nobody else has spoken up. Iām north of you (Whitehall) but commute daily to Ferrysburg. I can meet up this week after work if thatās doable, any day other than Monday (band event for my son). LMK, and thank you!
Got a run planned for 3/10, Montague to Silver Lake and back, full loop. Follow link to rsvp.

@Drax the Destroyer this run was last month, but Iāve got another one a week from Sunday. Itās in my Facebook group. https://www.facebook.com/share/WbTmLHPuKNe4Tqz4/?mibextid=9l3rBW
@SQUA7CH Iām running that the end of July. Wife and I are dealing the badger across to Manitowoc then running 7hr Plane crash route from Crandon, Wi, running up to the harbor then back down to Hancock for the weekend.
Really wish I could have made this one. Let me know the next time you guys are headed out. I might look to see what I can throw together on the west side that doesnāt get in the way of the sled heads in the next month or so.
I got a sxs last year and spent more time there this year than I had in the past 15. My parents had a cottage less than a mile from the dunes and I basically lived there growing up, it doesnāt do much for me anymore, moreso because of the amount of people. Way too much stupid in one spot for me...
Not going with a group, but wife and I are riding the Badger across to Manitowoc and taking the 7hr plane crash trail up to Copper Harbor. Camping overnight along the route then got an Airbnb in Hancock Friday thru Monday.
This is in West Michigan. Started in Twin Lake and ran up to Luther, 96 miles when said & done, very little pavement, almost all of it dirt roads and trails. At most maybe 10 miles on pavement.
Just rolled 1700 miles on it and completed a New Years Day run of almost 100 miles with it, 4th time Iāve hit the trails already. Photos courtesy of the Michigan Bronco Club members.
Youāll never get the tire life out of the 1st set of tires that youāll get out of the 2nd set. Doesnāt matter the brand, pretty much all of them are built cheaper than the aftermarket set youāll put on next.
as far as bfgās in general, they are notorious for wearing fast, never had good luck...
