  1. Wide vs Narrow Tires for offroad performance -- a scientific comparison

When I get an opportunity I will. I did do before and after of ground clearance and tire to fender on the top
  2. Wide vs Narrow Tires for offroad performance -- a scientific comparison

They do look tall, I gained nearly 2ā€ of ground clearance, as far as skinny I don’t think they look ridiculous. The Baja boss has such a wide ā€œside biteā€ section where the tread meets the side wall for when you’re aired down that it gives the illusion of being wider. But on my stock steelies...
  3. Wide vs Narrow Tires for offroad performance -- a scientific comparison

I’m running the MT Baja Boss in a 255/85r17. Stock ride BD, no rub, no bottoming out and I love running the pizza cutters. Can’t recommend them enough to people.

There’s some good groups around the state. Check out the Mi Bronco Club Facebook page, some rides will get posted there (I’m one of the trail leads for the club), I also personally run the West Michigan Off Roading group on FB, we try to have at least one ride/get together a month. Where abouts...

I’d be interested since nobody else has spoken up. I’m north of you (Whitehall) but commute daily to Ferrysburg. I can meet up this week after work if that’s doable, any day other than Monday (band event for my son). LMK, and thank you!

Really wish I could have made this one. Let me know the next time you guys are headed out. I might look to see what I can throw together on the west side that doesn’t get in the way of the sled heads in the next month or so.
  12. Broncos take over Silver Lake Sand Dunes, Michigan

I got a sxs last year and spent more time there this year than I had in the past 15. My parents had a cottage less than a mile from the dunes and I basically lived there growing up, it doesn’t do much for me anymore, moreso because of the amount of people. Way too much stupid in one spot for me...
  13. Broncos take over Silver Lake Sand Dunes, Michigan

I’m assuming this is from over the summer since the dunes are closed…. And buried in snow currently. šŸ˜‚

Not going with a group, but wife and I are riding the Badger across to Manitowoc and taking the 7hr plane crash trail up to Copper Harbor. Camping overnight along the route then got an Airbnb in Hancock Friday thru Monday.
  16. Anyone else use their Bronco as an ATV?

This is in West Michigan. Started in Twin Lake and ran up to Luther, 96 miles when said & done, very little pavement, almost all of it dirt roads and trails. At most maybe 10 miles on pavement.
  17. Anyone else use their Bronco as an ATV?

Just rolled 1700 miles on it and completed a New Years Day run of almost 100 miles with it, 4th time I’ve hit the trails already. Photos courtesy of the Michigan Bronco Club members.
  18. BFG K02 33's Lifespan Mileage?

You’ll never get the tire life out of the 1st set of tires that you’ll get out of the 2nd set. Doesn’t matter the brand, pretty much all of them are built cheaper than the aftermarket set you’ll put on next. as far as bfg’s in general, they are notorious for wearing fast, never had good luck...
