Just got off the phone with the service advisor and he said that the tech opened up the old transmission and said that it should just be replaced, and I forget his exact wording, but he reiterated that the transmission was brand new and that there wasn't anything they could for the transmission...
No I don't think they did. I think y'all may be on to something, like I felt it happen the first time I shifted into 2nd while I was leaving the dealerships parking lot. They forgot to put the insulation/ sound deadening material on the inside of the new top, so it has to go back anyways...
Well, I got my Bronco back last night. It ended up getting a brand-new transmission. The new one is a B revision which I thought was weird because it originally had a C revision in it. Also the new transmission is doing the same thing as the old one and it doesn't even have 50 miles on it.
That is an absolutely horrible mindset to have. also you seemed to have missed where i said ether it gets fixed or bought back. old dude at the dealer already started talking to me about the buy back process
Oh cool man, my complaint is based around the quality control at ford where they didn't catch the broken transmission before it was sent to the dealer.
yeah that's exactly how my 2nd gear feels. Doesn't make a sound but I can feel 2 distinct clunks as I'm going into it. It mostly goes away once it's warmed up fully, but it'll still do it occasionally. And like you I really really like the car but the shotty quality control Ford has and the...
I assume the TSB they are following has to do with 2nd gear because at the time i dropped it off that was the biggest concern followed by 3rd use to grind going into it but that went away and 4th being mushy.
I mean they told me they were following a TSB I just don't remember which one. I also don't really care, the car was delivered broken and ether it gets fixed or they can buy it back and I go back to avoiding cars built in North America again.
Oh, well that's the solution that's been given to me. Its only locked me out of 3rd twice and the first time I assumed it was my fault because the car had maybe 1000 miles on it
My transmission doesn't make any noises outside of sometimes grinding, it has issues with going into gears smoothly and occasionally locking me out of 3rd gear and I have to leave it in neutral and let off the clutch and push it again to get it to go in.
He told me Ford bought that bronco back...
service advisor started telling me about the other bronco with a manual they had in before and how it ended up being bought back because of the transmission
