The more I look at this, the more it just looks like the plastic is semitranspatent. But what do I know, I'm just standing here staring at it in person and not on a 5" phone screen 😜

FWIW - I'd still rather have the MIC over a soft top. For now it's just cosmetic, albeit not up to spec. Imo it still beats the look of the soft tops.

We're talking about 2 different things 😉 I'm talking about seeing the honeycomb through the exterior surface plastic. Almost as if it's semitranspatent.

Thanks @North7 I've skimmed the "Bad roof" threads but missed any mention of visible honeycomb. Dealer will be made aware early tomorrow. 👍

I happen to work with a lot of plastics experts. Definitely going to bounce this off of them tomorrow. Seems like a reasonable theory.

I trust Meguiars and have never seen any adverse reaction so I'm almost sure it's not the cause. Maybe it just highlighted the problem? No idea what the dealer uses (or didn't use) to prep the vehicle in the first place. There were absolutely no visual cues like this before.

Definitely was not there or not at all noticable. It's pretty obvious in person now. Looks prematurely UV aged

I applied the wax almost exactly 24 hours ago. Didn't notice anything this morning. Went to get pick up the kid and get groceries. Were out maybe 3 hours total. I just noticed when we returned and unpacked.
