I wonder if the running boards are to be standard or if they are just being tested for fit, ground clearance, NVH? Short test driver?
Photo #2 is showing some rear wheel-only spin
Look what happened to the 2020 Explorer; up to $5250 in rebates (plus the usual $500 active mil., student, 1st responder etc) starting last October on a completely redesigned SUV before calendar year 2020! Year-end money on the hood 3 months after launch.
Might be some dealers adding $695 mud...
I'll try to stop hijacking this thread, but one more:
That's similar to what I'd do with TwoNav. I want to get their Adventura Moto GPS unit and the software bundle. That way I'd have an all-weather device which could also be used on my motorcycles. I use TwoNav's app currently on my phone which...
Anything but the 1.5L Dragon 3cyl. Drove a '20 Escape with one. Ok power, but loud booming drone at 50-75mph.
I predict the 2.3L Ranger-tune 4 will be standard, and the 2.5 Atkinson/Hybrid as an option. I think with CAFE requirements tightening we likely won't see any V6 or V8 options...
I could see Ford making overland GPS only available in a package/trim I wouldn't want, and/or 30-50% more as a stand-alone than aftermarket units. I don't need it to be integrated into the dash and, besides, OEM's are going more and more with non-integrated screens, which look like add-ons...
I'm not really concerned, fixed or removable. No soft top. I doubt that I would ever remove the entire roof, and a retractable or removable sunroof panel would be fine. But for me, if I would have to jump up thousands of dollars to a trim or option package with stuff I don't care about to get a...
I can see where it would be a pain daily in traffic. I have it on my Escape, but live in the country and it isn't a real bother. I've found that if I let up on the brake a little bit immediately after the car stops, it will stay running.
Custom order, even if there is one exactly the way I want on the ground-likely my last new vehicle.
4dr
10 Spd auto 4WD, locking F/R diffs
V6 or big non-turbo 4, maybe a hybrid (can't believe I just typed that :surprised:)
Hardtop w/removable or retractable panel or sunroof, privacy glass...
In the green rendering, I do like the more upright windshield rake with the side mirrors on the posts, and shorter cargo area with the spare tire mounted higher than the blue one. My gut feeling tells me the windshield rake and front doors will be the same as the '22 Ranger (6g).
That was my reaction, too. If the wheelbase is much shorter than the JL Unlimited, I can understand that. but if it is shorter than the JL (2dr), that could present a problem for younger buyers (and older buyers with infant grandchildren) if a rear-facing car seat won't fit properly, i.e., too...
Chris, On the Ford.com website: Select >VEHICLES> SUVS & CROSSOVERS> 2020 EXPLORER> PRICING & INCENTIVES> RETAIL OFFERS> DISCLAIMER
Under disclaimer is where it states the 61-day qualifier Maybe it's different there but here in zone 58 (Mpls-St Paul et al) that's what is expressed for at least...
Yup.:like:
Just look at the totally redesigned 2020 Explorer. $4250 rebate, plus $1000 trade in assistance plus factory-to-dealer incentives. My dealer has 2020 XLT's with $9086 in rebates and markdowns PLUS Ford Red Carpet Lease incentives of $2000 if you lease, all on a vehicle that came out...
The adaptive cruise does stay off when it is disabled in the settings menu in the driver display in my Escape. When disabled, it functions like an old school cruise; need to reset the speed after the car has been turned off, but the adaptive feature stays off. It does display a "warning...
The end of ordering model year production, or build out as it's called can vary vehicle to vehicle and year to year. It depends on what changes to the succeeding model are going to be, and how well the vehicle is selling. If there is a 200 day supply sitting on the ground, build out can come...
To me, @Sherminiator's photo shows blank, or raw stamping, and still in its die or mold. The "headlight" I think is either part of the die or flashing that will get sheared or cut in a further process; it may not have that final shape.
