It will be interesting to see how this plays out. The new f-150 Lightening has direct competition with the new Rivian truck. Both new to market, both pulling from the same pool of people...simple clauses could make the difference and make people feel better about their purchase.
I think you are correct. The 500+ day wait has built some unreasonable expectations, which will have to be reconciled to reality.
Fortunatly there will be buyers to help people out of these situations.
I hope so. I want as many great products hitting the market as possible.
The great thing about problems is that solutions can be created, and sometimes the entire unit can be made better by the variety of solutions. I know this is a "glass half full" view, and some might not agree, but this...
What truth did you share? Your two main points, the Bronco would be a flop and it was a marketing disaster. Two opinions that, thus far, have been proven false and are easily rebutted by actual data and evidence.
You have really strong opinions about a vehicle you don't even have yet.
You are the first person I have heard say "Ford dropped the ball on marketing". Most people think they over marketed the Bronco. I think the marketing has been 100% on point and successful.
Needless to say, I think you...
Growing up in Illinois, it was cold enough to have winter problems, but not cold enough nor enough snow (and too flat) to indulge in Winter hobbies. So, I got all the cons, and none of the pros. LOL
That sucks. I don't agree with Ford that it is impossible, but I also don't think frozen ice is a warranty issue.
We had a mini-van, when the kids were younger, and the sliding door always seemed to freeze when we were in a hurry, loaded with kids, and late for work. I don't miss the North...
You are willfully missing the point. You wrote:
Assuming this is factually true, 109 miles is still 3 times the average daily miles driven (30 miles). So yes, your specific situation might be different, but for many drivers, even in MN, the range still works.
Like a said, a vehicle is just...
Sure, but even with a reduced mileage range do to the weather, it is more than 3 times the average daily driving miles.
A vehicle is a tool and all tools have uses and limitations. Your specific use on a specific day might fall outside the comfortable use of the tool, but that doesn't mean it...
I think most people a misrepresenting use and also using examples outside the norm to formulate an argument.
The average driver drives 30 miles a day. Rural drivers drive more, but not substantially.
For most use scenarios, an EV range of 300 miles is plenty. For most temperatures, the ranges...
My family lives in rural Virginia, 20 min from a gas station. Your points are valid, but there is also something to be said for them being able to charge/fuel their vehicle from home.
The entire used car market is inflated. There is a supply issue of new cars and buyers are willing to pay a premium.
If somebody wants to sell their new Bronco and make a profit, fine by me. If a dealer has an abandoned Bronco to sell, why should they sell it for $xx,xxx less than they...
Some of y'all need to play "hard to get". Lol.
A teaser post with a lot of hope, some basic CAD images and no other information are getting you way too excited.
I believe we are in the "huh, interesting this might be valid" phase, rather than "this is the Jesus of tops, back to save us all...
Very cool, that will look nice.
I will probably add the Bronco script as well, also added a rack to transport mh SUP. Nothing major until I find a soft top I like. It's pretty damn perfect the way it is, for.me. lol
I do like it. This morning was the first time it leaked though, a few drops, but I blame the massive rain and high winds we had this morning. Otherwise, no issues to speak of.
If the 2dr had a quality soft top, I would have gone that route, and I still might in a year or tow. Until then, the...
I'm not sure. Mine is a 2dr hardtop, and I got it in mid Nov. They always made my sign the order sheet. I would probably ask to see it, just to confirm.
