@Martiin it's more of a mudding/high speed trails area than it is for climbing. Since rain is a myth here, most of the mud is soft dirt but it was fun ripping through the trails in Baja mode. Reminded me of the high speed course at off-roadeo
Those are the Icon 2.5 shocks, not complete coiler kit. Still somewhere between 1.5-2k but those reuse stock springs and top hats.
He definitely sent it though. Multiple times.
Closed waste gates will stop the turbo from building boost but it won't hold boost once you let off the throttle..what you're describing is an anti-lag system designed to keep a turbo on boost even when the throttle is closed. Usually comes in rally cars, but is present in other vehicles (also...
Turbo lag has to deal with the amount of time it takes for exhaust gases to spin the turbo's impeller up to speed enough to pressurize incoming air (i.e. make boost). The time it takes to build boost is dependent upon how large the impeller wheel in the turbo is, as well as what type of bearings...
I had a similar thought process as Tricky Dick...build my own coilers from these so that during servicing or an emergency, I could just throw the OEM Bilsteins back on without disassembly/reassembly.
The shock dyno tells what's going on during rebound and compression for both low speed and high...
I haven't been able to find 8..keeps saying discontinued. Unless I'm looking up the wrong item. If you have a part #, can you pass it along?
Dusty, any idea how much a rebuild would be for these? Also, although ICON says they are tuned for the Bronco, is a shock dyno included?
My bad, I saw their post on testing both intercoolers and now realize this is the high mount thread. It is the stock location intercooler that's on preorder.
Nick, did I hear you mention in one of these threads that the performance intercooler surface area is larger than the high mount intercooler you're developing?
I barely have enough room from end to end as the mattress is 72" long. As deep sleep mentioned, you're better off with two mattresses and sleeping diagonally
The rear seat folds down two different ways: you can pull the cushion out and this allows the seat to fold "flat". In this configuration...
I'm 5'10" and have a bit of room on a single mat...the mat is 72", so the best option at 6 foot or taller would be dual mats and sleep diagonally. That would give you roughly 83" of diagonal space.
With a reduction in IAT you can then advance the timing with an ECU tune and that will allow for an increase in power.
But just on it's own, a larger and/or more efficient intercooler simply lowers IAT. It will, however, reduce the possibility of causing a loss of power: high IAT's cause the...
