I have Wet Okole heated seat covers in my JKU (front only) that I LOVE. In 2016 heated seats weren’t offered in the Willys Wheeler so I got these and they were worth every penny. If I was interested in seat covers, heated or not, I’d start my search with them.
Save $? I'd be shocked if the Warthog isn't as much or more than a First Edition, which is about $17,000 more than a Badlands and about $10k more than a Wildtrak. That is a lot of extra saving you'll have to do.
How much snow are you talking? If it's typical Illinois snow, driving with about anything the Bronco will come with should be okay. Some better than others. Check tire rankings on tirerack.com. I've driven 4 winters on Goodyear M/T in Grand Rapids Michigan snow (average snowfall of 64" a year)...
Wondering if you look to see if JK / JL owners wave to you in your CJ. The unwritten rule is that the newer Jeep is supposed to initiate the wave. That's really cool that you wave to other classic 4X4s.
In my experience, getting a wave back was much easier from guys. The area I used to live in...
As of right now, I’m planning on the Badlands without the Sasquatch.
I don’t think I need 35” tires and most of my off roading will be trails or sand. I’d probably consider the Wildtrak before the Badlands with Sasquatch.
@Gr8Hortoni Yes, years ago and have avoided holidays there since. I would anticipate it being pretty busy but it might be fun to check out on a busy weekend, once.
I could be wrong, but from what I've seen of the videos of Holly Oaks, it is more trail than open space, especially compared to...
I'd probably visit Holly Oaks. Close to home so I don't have to fight traffic too much to get there / home and still have time to do some other activities. Maybe cruise up and down Woodward with no doors or top.
Most likely Cyber Orange. I like the dark top and fenders and I like contrast of the vehicle's color and the top / fenders. I also try and go with black wheels too. My avatar is my current Jeep and is a good representation of the look I shoot for.
My first 4 Wranglers were 2 Door. The last 2 door I had was replaced by a 4 door when I started having to haul my daughter (and sometimes her friends) to school sports. One more 4 door later and now she's in college and it's primarily my wife and I. A 2 door Bronco will be fine for us 98% of the...
My wife likes the looks for my Wrangler better but she does like the Cyber Orange so I'll probably get that. I'm sure once she enjoy the smoother ride she'll like the Bronco better.
Which dealer? I've recently moved to the area from Grand Rapids and got a recommendation of Bill Brown Ford from my wife's uncle (lives in Northville).
My reservation is for a Black Diamond but once I realized I can't get some options that are found in the Lux pkg (like the B&O radio), I decided I was going to go with the Bad Lands. The new pricing hasn't changed that (yet).
This is it in a nutshell. I've owned both hard and soft top Wranglers. The one thing to keep in mind is your passengers. If it's you 99% of the the time and/or you listen to music often, either top is fine. If you're transporting a spouse and kids often on the highway and wanting to have...
Last 8 years in Grand Rapids, moved to Birmingham and building in Novi. This will be the first Ford product I’ve ever bought. I’ve owned 6 Wranglers over the last 23 years.
Been on the dunes at Silver Lake countless times and looking forward to Holly Oaks.
My wife’s uncle suggested Bill...
