  1. Second Thoughts on Manual Transmission

12 pages in, I don't reckon there's much for me to add to the discussion, but for what it's worth, I wouldn't even be considering the Bronco as a replacement for my Jeep (in spite of removable top/doors) if there was no stick. If I were a rockcrawler, things might be different, but I just enjoy...
  2. Dogs in the Bronco

When your original soft top windows get scratched up- and yes, it's gonna happen- get a new set, cut the plastic outta the originals and hook your pup up with some fresh air. I used paracord for the webbing, but that's just one way to go. Loads of fresh air, but out of the direct sun. RIP to...
  3. Anyone thinking of Spare Tire Delete??

I like the looks better with the spare in place. I also like the peace of mind of carrying a full-size spare, although I think 1995 was the last time I had a flat on the road. Side note: Hopefully the Bronco factory tailgate is stronger than Jeep's (Or maybe beefier hinge replacements are one...
  4. The color we should have gotten

Those are some sweet @ss colors!
  5. Found the Car That I'll be Cancelling My Reservation For

No stick shift so I'm out. Sweet ride otherwise!
  6. Not getting a Bronco for the dirt .

If I'm on a trail, it's gonna be a hiking trail. Forest Service roads and whatnot will be the most hardcore action I see... but much like my Jeep, a Bronco would be an "adds fun to the everyday" kinda vehicle. Top off/doors off at every opportunity.
  7. Bronco Sport 1" Lift Confirmed during SEMA Q&A

Pardon the confusion; I meant the alignment of IFS vehicles in general post-lift vs SFA vehicles.
  8. Bronco Sport 1" Lift Confirmed during SEMA Q&A

Dumb question- especially as I don’t even do my own wrenching- but is the alignment after tinkering with the suspension more or less (or equally) complicated for IFS vs SFA vehicles?
  9. Bronco Soft Top how-to video -- folding, removing and window removal

The “prop up the rear” feature is pretty sweet.
  10. Bronco Soft Top how-to video -- folding, removing and window removal

I just lay mine side windows flat in the cargo area, and then lay the rear window/tailgate bar diagonally across, so it’s kinda halfway resting on one of the wheelwells. Once upon a time I cared enough to lovingly layer fleece blankets in between. Now, not so much. Note: I drive a 4-door...
  11. Bronco Soft Top how-to video -- folding, removing and window removal

Order with a stick shift. Problem solved!
  12. 4DR, Soft vs Hard top

Soft top is a lifestyle choice. It's great to be able to quickly switch back and forth between covered/open when there are rainstorms, after you drop the kids at school on a sorta chilly morning, etc.
  13. V8 HEMI 392 Jeep Wrangler production model announcement teaser. Will Ford answer with V8 Bronco?

I had only the tiniest of hopes for a stick option, but still disappointed. (My wallet will be happy, at least!)
  14. Is anyone considering waiting for the Warthog instead of getting a BL or WC when Ford starts shipping them?

I'm not an early adopter, so, sure, I'm happy to wait to see what the Hog has in store for us.
  15. V8 HEMI 392 Jeep Wrangler production model announcement teaser. Will Ford answer with V8 Bronco?

I reckon there’s zero chance the 392 will be available with a stick, so there’s zero chance I have to justify paying for the damned thing.
  16. Bronco pickup? Gladiator shows what will happen...

4 door JK owner here whose new vehicle options currently are: * Another JK with much lower mileage than mine. * A Bronco. * A Gladiator. [Edit: A Bronco pickup would join the list.] I've had the Jeep for 6.5 years, and drove a mix of full size/small pickup for 20-odd years before that. I...
