So, I’ve gotten 2 updates this week on the airbag. Not good…These are coming from ford customer service manager… TUES…supplier past due shipping to FCSD. Working with supplier to obtain future ship plan. needless to say didn’t sound very promising. THURS…summarized, 262 back orders...

Well if it makes you feel any better, this was the update I got yesterday on the airbag... SUPPLIER PAST DUE SHIPPING TO FCSD , WORKING WITH SUPPLIER TO OBTAIN FUTURE SHIP PLAN. Sounds promising right? I'm now very confident you'll see yours before I see an airbag. Hope that helps:)

Yeah, airbag recall fix was approved along with instructions to the dealers. However, someone forgot to inform the parts department and most of us are still waiting for them to find some airbags. I guess they must be different than the ~500 they're using every day to build '22 MYs.

I’ve seen 1 person actually receive a new airbag and take delivery of the ~550 that have been stuck for 3 months. Has anyone else had any luck? Another solid move by Ford…take 3 months to approve the remedy, ie take old airbag out put new airbag in, then seems that nobody told the Parts...

No info from dealer on my end. The trim piece was delivered but no airbag. I called Ford parts to try to order myself and they said the part was obsolete. Can’t make this shit up.

It’s been an agonizing holiday weekend waiting for tomorrow when I can check on airbag progress. It better be at the dealership or I might have to drive to MAP to get it myself!

For those with FE’s, the center trim piece that is to be ordered with the airbag is by model and it didn’t list FE. Dealer confirmed and ordered but he didn’t confirm what resolution was . If anyone needs more info I can go back and ask again.

Sitting at my BMW dealership for break-in service, and service guy tells me there are 2 recalls and they'll take care of both while I'm here. Crazy how that works!
