Think it's mostly an optical illusion. The camera creates a fisheye effect and then re-assembles that data to create a flat, straight image.
But when you throw in a small lift, rack and other accessories, the look is more proportional than say, an Outerbanks sans all the extras.
Think this comment is a bit unfair. I get what you're saying, especially as a current FSB owner, but I also know the FSB is just an F150 inside the cab. Ford was going for the classic look (and size) of the EB. Having said that, if they later tried a larger/wider version on par with the current...
You know someone out there is going to do it. ? ?
Seriously though, it's just a camera. You could remove everything and remount the camera on whatever cover you come up with to hide the hole. Just not a look I'd ever go for. I love having the spare back there.
I think you captured the issue perfectly. If they included a tab at each clip to pull the side windows tight, then Velcro the excess in place, problem solved. I gotta believe aftermarket is going to solve this if Ford doesn't.
It's really a poor decision. I'd rather be treated like an adult. If I have leather and a washout floor and I start hosing down the interior and fry my power seats, that's on me.
On the upside, my wife's 4Runner has carpet throughout, but came with splash mats front to back, and I don't notice...
First time I had time to watch this and I’m impressed with the amount of information. Very helpful.
Especially like the ease of either folding the back seats or being able to climb out as a passenger. Very user friendly.
Looks like a few things to improve:
The 4 “ step up in back
Carpet on back...
