Sorry for the confusion. I was referring to the Base steelies being thinner in width compared to the width of the BD steelies. I ordered a Base 2dr. So if I added 32" tires to the stock Base steelies, how would they look? I think the Base steelies are 7" wide, whereas the BD steelies are...
Do you think 32s will look too thin on a Base, due to the smaller width of the stock rim (7" I believe)? Trying to prevent having to buy new wheels, because I like the Steelies.
I'm personally aware of the vehicle I'm getting into, so I'm not concerned about comfort, etc. I wanted a stick shift 4x4 that I could take the roof off and cruise around the beach or drive to the mountains...but not a jeep. I think the toughest sell is going to be the size. Can't afford more...
I went with a 2 door Base 7sp. Regarding that red base spotting a few weeks ago, someone in this thread mentioned possiblity of a different suspension on it. Think that's the case? Hoping it is....I like how the 4 door looks.
This'll be my first Bronco and first 4x4. Definitely excited to be a part of the off-road culture. Spent my 20s and 30s driving tuner cars and sport bikes. Time to enjoy something new in this next chapter of life.
The rear seats look to have a decent amount of room. It'll fit my 7yo daughter and I guess I'm gonna have to get a dog for the other seat. Haha. Despite not much room overall, I think a roof rack and cargo box will resolve that issue.
Hopefully, Ford's CRC comes through for me before the 19th so I can order from Tom. I will be driving exactly 6.8 miles from my home to pick up my new Bronco. Haha.
Eh, I'll be close. Base 2dr manual, but was planning roof rack and floor liners. Is that what you're going with? I guess the question would be, is there a benefit to going aftermarket for those items?
Hey Tom,
Thanks. The payment page worked for me this AM, so I was able to make another reservation and for Chapman. I'll be calling Ford today to give them the new reservation number. I guess the next step is for them to transfer my timestamp to this reservation. Appreciate your help.
Hey Tom,
Yeah the issue is that the reservation section of the Ford website won't allow me to pay the $100...it goes blank and won't bring up the payment section. Because then I was told by customer service that I can call them with the new reservation number. They will then switch my...
Hey Tom,
I'm hoping maybe you can help me decipher what's going on with my reservation. Long story short, I've talked with you through DM previously. I'm trying to transfer a reservation to your dealership. I called customer service today to do that and was told (as I've heard others were)...
2 door Base, 7sp, and probably roof rack and floor liners. Possible Aux. I'm a function > form guy, so I think I'm gonna let my 7 year old daughter decide the color...I'll be happy just to drive a Bronco. 😀
I'm looking at a similar order, except haven't decided on color. With the aux switch panel, what are your plans with it? I'm torn whether to get it, or if it's a scenario of "better to have, in case you need it."
Ah gotcha. So we wouldn't have to have the actual Bronco in our possession. Makes sense, since they're providing the vehicles you use anyway. It would be cool to drive your own to the location though.
